(0:01) I was like, I don’t hear nothing, bro. (0:06) Joshua, your popular belief? (0:08) I did showers. (0:10) Uh, I didn’t doubt that you did or think that you did.(0:15) Just to be fair. (0:17) I’d like to repeat a previous statement that you never smell bad. (0:22) Well, thank you.(0:23) Welcome to Knocked Conscious, everyone. (0:24) Welcome to Knocked Conscious. (0:25) Welcome to Not Smelling, everyone.(0:28) Knocked Cleanliness. (0:29) Yes, welcome to Knocked Conscious. (0:31) Hello.(0:32) How you been, man? (0:33) Muy bien. (0:34) Very good, you too? (0:36) I think I’m doing alright, man, thanks. (0:38) Today is a December 2nd? (0:40) Sure.(0:41) You know what I saw today on the way over here? (0:43) Mill with a Cob? (0:44) Yes. (0:44) I saw a sign to elect somebody to some office on the side of the road. (0:48) I was going to have a conversation with you about doing a podcast about can they clean up their fucking signs? (0:54) Like, right? (0:55) That’s exactly what I was thinking.(0:58) I like President Dickface for sure. (1:00) I was like, oh, you mother truckers. (1:01) I saw Marissa.(1:03) Oh, she’s so hot. (1:04) In Collectory. (1:05) Did she win? (1:07) No, she got crushed.(1:09) Really? (1:10) Yeah, I think. (1:12) I don’t even know. (1:12) She might have hit 40% possibly.(1:14) That’s a crushing. (1:16) That’s a crushing. (1:16) Anything less than 45%, I think.(1:18) I think 55-45 is a double digit is a bad defeat. (1:24) Did you look up the definition of a crushing? (1:26) A crushing. (1:27) A crushing.(1:28) Well, we can always look up. (1:30) I’m kidding. (1:30) Dude, don’t.(1:31) Yeah, you totally wanted to do it. (1:32) No, I did not. (1:33) It’s your own fault, man.(1:34) Yeah, anyway. (1:35) I’m good. (1:36) Yeah, so Knocked Conscious.(1:37) Just skip over that shit. (1:39) So we’re in the middle of a cove. (1:40) It’s December 2nd, 2020.(1:43) Cove. (1:43) We’re just calling it the cove now. (1:45) Pretty soon it’s going to be the sea.(1:47) Isn’t that a? (1:48) We can’t. (1:49) We talked. (1:50) We had that conversation.(1:51) The cove. (1:54) No, let’s take a look. (1:58) So we’re in the middle of the cove.(2:00) I have been working from home. (2:01) It’s Wednesday. (2:02) Yes.(2:02) I was sent home Monday morning. (2:04) Oh. (2:05) Because someone tested positive.(2:08) Yeah. (2:09) And with Thanksgiving last week. (2:11) Oh.(2:12) Everyone was sent home and someone else has at least some symptoms that it might be that (2:16) also at work. (2:18) Tambien. (2:20) So I’m working from home this week.(2:23) And then I call my madre. (2:25) Yeah. (2:26) And my my niece has it.(2:28) My niece tested positive. (2:30) Three three generations in that household. (2:32) Kind of like Italy.(2:33) My brother lives there as well. (2:35) And my parents currently and. (2:39) That’s probably a bad way to part time to say currently.(2:42) But I asked my mom. (2:44) I said, are you going to quarantine? (2:45) She’s like, no, you’ve been at whatever happens happens. (2:48) But then she shared that my dad was deathly ill like the last three days.(2:52) It’s like Thanksgiving, Thursday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. (2:56) But my dad is like he has an apothecary at his house. (2:59) Like he’s got 100 tincture bottles that he takes a drop of every morning.(3:02) He takes like 5200 pills. (3:04) Joe Rogan talks about taking all the pills, like chewing them with with meals. (3:08) My dad has him licked.(3:10) I mean, drawers full. (3:12) And he takes it every day. (3:13) Vitamin D, vitamin C, all the stuff.(3:15) So I think he probably had it and actually it ran through him that well because he took (3:20) all those supplements. (3:21) That’s my opinion. (3:22) I’m not a doctor.(3:23) So just a witch doctor. (3:25) But so now we I’ve got cove touched now with work and with my personal life on both ends. (3:31) But they’re in there a thousand miles away from me.(3:33) So I definitely quarantine. (3:35) Isn’t there a movie called The Cove? (3:36) I think there is with dolphins. (3:38) The Beach.(3:38) There’s one called The Cove with the dolphins where they where they rile up the rattle up (3:42) the wrestle up the dolphins. (3:43) Like it’s it’s awful. (3:45) It’s awful to watch that one.(3:46) Yeah, I did. (3:47) I wasn’t going to watch it either way. (3:49) I did watch part of that.(3:51) Are you okay? (3:52) Yeah. (3:53) So we’re in an emotional distress and mental anguish for watching The Cove. (3:57) It it was upsetting because of the what they do is they get it.(4:01) It’s worth a watch. (4:02) It’s a gentleman who’s a documentary and documentary and do the mixed documentaries. (4:08) Yeah, but not it doesn’t have algorithms.(4:12) Okay, them of Al Gore. (4:14) Yes. (4:15) You know, I had no rhythm.(4:17) Cuz his wife banned parental lyrics cuz all the bad words twisted sister cuz it was the (4:23) sister. (4:24) Oh, man. (4:25) That reminds me of the Billy Joel song.(4:27) Only a good die young wasn’t on the radio. (4:29) We’re not gonna take it. (4:31) That’s not that doesn’t sound like Billy Joel to me.(4:34) You know, yeah. (4:35) Well today is something I wanted to discuss because I wanted to look at something in a (4:41) very pragmatic and just trying to understand because you and I have talked about all these (4:46) systems that are in place. (4:48) Uh-huh.(4:49) And I came across a George Carlin bit about this and I’ll put it up also in the liner (4:53) notes about the Ten Commandments and it was fucking hilarious and it made me go. (4:58) Hmm. (4:58) Let me reevaluate each and every one of these because and I started to read and the overall (5:04) impression spoiler alert everybody.(5:06) It seems to be one of the earlier systems that was out there for control. (5:12) So I was going to go through some of those go the history of it and just discuss them (5:16) one by one. (5:17) I’m not one how much do we talk about people’s faith and accepting people’s faith for what (5:24) they want.(5:25) We’re not here to change anyone’s mind, but it’s interesting. (5:30) Yes. (5:31) Okay.(5:31) Anything you’d like to talk before we get started on that sir. (5:33) Um now that I think about it. (5:37) No.(5:39) What? (5:41) Go team. (5:42) When you think about it. (5:43) That’s when stuff comes out.(5:44) Go team. (5:44) I did also hear the Carlin bit and it’s hysterical and he’s right. (5:49) I mean.(5:49) Yeah. (5:50) I’d like to reiterate it’s not an attack on someone’s personal beliefs or someone’s faith. (5:54) It’s it’s more about can each of us look objectively at something and then question.(6:00) Hey, like why is something that’s what is it? (6:04) Thirty three hundred years old thirty three fifty years old something that we still base (6:12) so much of our lives on. (6:15) You know what I mean? (6:16) Agreed. (6:17) You almost cracked your check Republic mug dude.(6:19) I did. (6:19) I was like I can’t let my chick go crack. (6:22) I must catch my chick.(6:24) Yes. (6:25) Um to that to that point. (6:26) Yeah, like I said your your faith, you know, if you’re if you have a faith system that (6:33) goes along with the tank payments, then that’s your faith system.(6:36) There’s nothing wrong with that. (6:37) We we are cool with that. (6:39) However, you and I tend to be trend buckers or we don’t tend to go with the flow very (6:44) often.(6:45) We tend to go against the green. (6:46) It’s cost us in some ways and socially or professionally or in our lives. (6:51) Would you agree? (6:54) Yes.(6:55) Yes. (6:57) I think I would totally totally completely agree to the point where it’s almost I take (7:05) it personal because I try to look at things and I try to explain my point of view to somebody (7:14) else and they look at me like I’m crazy and then they think that I think they’re being (7:21) blinded by a way and I try to explain it differently using logic and it completely (7:27) is just like we can’t even have a conversation. (7:30) Yeah.(7:30) So I’m like, hey, I just wanted to have a civil discourse, which no. (7:35) Right. (7:35) Does that answer your question? (7:36) It does.(7:37) Actually, it answers it very well because we once again, faith is that one thing that (7:41) I think I’m beginning to see that I lack. (7:45) You didn’t you didn’t think you. (7:50) Me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, (8:15) me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me (8:45) But you believe in that because you saw it with your own eyes.(8:51) I had my burning bush moment. (8:52) So you are doubting Thomas as well. (8:54) Right.(8:54) The bush caught on fire in front of me and started speaking to me. (8:58) I took notes. (8:59) Whatever that was for me.(9:00) Yes. (9:01) Okay. (9:01) I still don’t put that consciousness on it, but it was there.(9:06) Whatever that experience was. (9:08) So once again, we’re here, we admire, we admire people’s faith and everything. (9:13) And we ask that you would engage on this.(9:16) Tell us your thoughts about each one. (9:19) Whether A, what they represent, B, whether they’re even necessary and C, how we can apply (9:25) them to our lives. (9:29) Yes.(9:29) Whoa, bro. (9:30) Oh, I’m sorry. (9:32) There you go.(9:32) See how much? (9:32) I like smacking it. (9:34) I know. (9:34) And flip it or rub it down.(9:35) Oh, what? (9:36) Because every time you hear. (9:43) There it is. (9:44) Anyway, so 10 commandments.(9:46) Can you give us a little background on 10 commandments approximately when it was written (9:50) and all this stuff, how it came? (9:52) You are the theologian of this group because you’ve read the Bible two, two, two times, (9:58) two times, two tambien. (10:01) Tell me, tell us about them. (10:03) Tell us about these 10 commandments.(10:04) 10 commandments. (10:05) Tell them what they’ve won. (10:06) First of all, there’s 10.(10:11) Sorry. (10:11) I mean, it’s too easy. (10:12) Low hanging fruit, bro.(10:13) No, I get it. (10:14) 10 of them. (10:15) Got it.(10:16) 10 commandments contain 10 of them. (10:18) Yes. (10:19) The second thing that I, I was reading yesterday, I found interesting was that for a long time (10:25) and in many other languages, it’s not commandments.(10:28) It’s versus it’s other words. (10:31) So the word commandment to me is very heavy and strong and you don’t fuck with that shit. (10:40) It’s a commandment.(10:41) It’s a, it’s a yes. (10:41) No question. (10:42) It’s true.(10:42) False. (10:43) There’s no deviation from that, right? (10:45) There’s no wiggle room. (10:46) I didn’t know that about the, it being in versus verse commandments.(10:49) I’ve always heard them called the commandments to your point. (10:54) Yeah. (10:54) There’s there’s teeth to the word commandment.(10:56) Yes. (10:56) I command you. (10:58) Yes.(10:59) The original translation from what I read yesterday is it’s not the 10 commandments. (11:03) It’s a covenant with God. (11:06) So the, they, they took the word covenant and Jewish did, however you want to say it.(11:13) What does that, what does covenant mean? (11:15) It means a, an agreement. (11:17) I had to look that up too. (11:18) Cause it’s the art.(11:19) It was put in the art. (11:20) The warrant, the tablets put in the arc of the arc of the covenant. (11:22) Correct.(11:24) So that’s, it’s a covenant with God, meaning an agreement. (11:26) So like a contract. (11:27) Basically.(11:28) Yeah. (11:28) So it’s a, it’s a, it’s a contract with the chosen people, the Israelites really by Moses. (11:34) Moses lived somewhere between 1400 and 1300 BC or BCE, the new one, I don’t know, before (11:40) common era or before Christ, depending upon it, how old you are.(11:45) And you know, I know BC and AD that’s easy, whatever, cause you’re not an archivist. (11:49) Is that what it is? (11:51) Archivist. (11:52) You just made that up? (11:53) Cause it sounds pretty badass.(11:54) No, no, no. (11:54) No, it’s pretty cool. (11:55) Archivists, archivists work with data.(11:57) So the archivists are now familiar with BCE because that’s the new lingo. (12:02) Oh, okay. (12:02) It’s just the non, it’s a non-secular lingo.(12:05) Okay. (12:06) Or no, it’s the secular lingo. (12:07) Isn’t that weird? (12:08) It’s like no fiction and nonfiction.(12:09) Dude, you’re making my fucking brain hurt, man. (12:11) We know how fiction is not real. (12:13) I do.(12:14) Nonfiction is real. (12:15) So why not call one, why not be real and not real versus fiction and nonfiction? (12:21) Fiction and real. (12:23) Or just, yeah.(12:24) Or real and not real. (12:25) Cause why, why have it nonfiction? (12:27) It’s like a double negative. (12:28) It’s non-fake or non-real.(12:32) I totally see what you’re saying. (12:34) Fake and not fake. (12:34) As dumb as this conversation is.(12:36) I know, it was dumb. (12:37) That’s how my brain works, man. (12:39) Really dumbly.(12:40) Dumbly. (12:41) Like, you know. (12:45) To continue on, Moses freed the Jewish people from Egypt where they were slaves and he led (12:53) them across the desert for 40 years to Israel, the promised land.(12:57) And during that time he was given the 10 commandments by God according to the Bible on Mount Sinai. (13:05) And I’d like to refer back to the most amazing movie, History of the World, part one, where (13:11) Mel Brooks played Moses and he said, I give you the 15, 10 commandments because that’s (13:19) amazing. (13:20) That is amazing.(13:22) Tell me, sir, cause once again, I am, I’m, I don’t talk about this from a historical (13:28) perspective. (13:28) I talk about it when I read them and what it makes me feel, right? (13:31) That’s how, that’s how I’m going. (13:33) I do, I do like some historical fill in.(13:37) How soon after, like, where is Mount Sinai and when, was this at the end of the journey? (13:44) No. (13:44) Or was there a time in between? (13:45) I don’t know. (13:46) It’s, from what I read, it said just outside of the Jordan.(13:51) I assume that means the Jordan River, not the country Jordan from the way it was worded (13:55) and it referenced that several times. (13:57) River Jordan would make a lot more sense cause you’d travel along the river back in the (14:00) day cause you’d always have. (14:01) Fresh water.(14:02) Right. (14:03) So, and I don’t know where exactly that is, but, and I don’t know where, you know, I didn’t (14:08) read specifically where in the journey they received these. (14:11) Yeah.(14:12) And I just look up Mount Sinai and we can totally find that out. (14:16) Probably. (14:16) Yeah.(14:17) That’s probably how that works. (14:18) I shouldn’t be too tough, right? (14:19) So Mount Sinai is a Sinai Peninsula of Egypt. (14:26) So it was still in Egypt at the time.(14:28) There you go. (14:28) So maybe on the way out. (14:30) They were exiting.(14:32) I have another question for you. (14:34) Yes, sir. (14:35) Why is it that the first book of the Bible, Genesis is a classic rock band, but the second (14:40) book of the Bible, Exodus is a thrash metal band.(14:44) Or a Bob Marley song. (14:46) Whoa. (14:48) Movement of the people.(14:49) Oh yeah. (14:50) You got to listen to Bob Marley. (14:51) Cause I love Exodus, but Genesis is okay.(14:54) I mean, Land of Confusion and some other jams, but Exodus freaking rocks, bro. (14:59) Genesis launched two of the best solo people. (15:01) True.(15:02) I mean, arguably Peter Gabriel’s album and Phil Collins are- (15:07) Yes, absolutely. (15:08) They’re up there. (15:09) Yeah.(15:09) Yeah. (15:10) They’re enjoyable. (15:11) Totally.(15:11) You’re going to have to share Exodus to me. (15:13) You don’t want to know, dude. (15:15) Everyone’s doing the Toxic Waltz.(15:17) That’s their, that’s their hit. (15:19) Toxic Waltz. (15:20) That sounds like fun.(15:21) Is it on a three beat? (15:22) Is it like a um-pa-pa? (15:23) Yeah. (15:24) It’s a metal polka, bro. (15:26) Nice.(15:26) The interesting part about Exodus is that Metallica stole a guitar player from them (15:30) and then Slayer took a guitar player from them as well. (15:35) Hey, Striper. (15:37) New album? (15:37) I know.(15:38) I’m so excited. (15:38) Did I? (15:39) You did. (15:40) So I just- (15:40) That’s totally not the story.(15:41) We’re beer googling right now. (15:43) No, we’re not. (15:43) So anyway, Mount Sinai is in Egypt allegedly.(15:47) Apparently it is. (15:48) Not allegedly. (15:49) It is.(15:50) Anyway. (15:51) And that’s where God gave Moses the Ten Commandments to give to the people. (15:57) The story, let’s break the story down.(15:59) From my understanding, the story is he climbed the mountain. (16:03) There were, they were worshiping shit down at the bottom of the mountain. (16:07) He climbed up the mountain, or no, he climbed up the mountain and said God needs to talk (16:11) to him to give him these things.(16:12) He comes down and finds these people like worshiping some God. (16:17) Doesn’t he already have tablets? (16:18) He destroys those and then goes back up? (16:21) Something like that. (16:22) I know that he was up on the mountain for 40 days, according to the Bible.(16:27) There’s a big number with 40 though. (16:28) 40 and 7, obviously big numbers. (16:32) But then he comes down after 40 days and he sees that the Israelites have created a golden (16:42) calf that they’re worshiping.(16:43) And he gets really upset. (16:44) And that’s, I believe, and I read it yesterday. (16:48) God, I probably should have worked on my memory skills after that too.(16:52) It’s okay, man. (16:53) Hey, bro. (16:53) You should play that game Memory.(16:55) That’s fun. (16:55) I’ll take the one in the top right corner and the one right in the middle. (16:58) That’s awesome.(16:59) Anyway. (17:00) So you were reading. (17:01) Boom.(17:02) I read the Bible yesterday, dude. (17:04) I read Exodus. (17:05) I read Deuteronomy.(17:07) It was awesome. (17:08) So I can’t even say Deuteronomy. (17:11) Deuteronomy.(17:12) Deuteronomy. (17:12) No, no. (17:13) Mix the N and the M’s, man.(17:18) Deuteron. (17:18) We’re going to skip that and move along. (17:20) Think of Deuteron.(17:24) Deuteronomy. (17:29) So what was the point? (17:31) Yeah, he went up and he got the stuff. (17:33) Okay.(17:33) So he went back up. (17:35) Or did he just destroy the calf and get all pissed off or something? (17:38) I don’t know the details on the calf, but I did read that God came down to the top of the (17:46) mountain as dark clouds and thunder and lightning. (17:49) And the Israelites did witness that.(17:52) So it wasn’t just Moses up on the top of the mountain alone, but the clouds did speak to (17:59) the people as God. (18:00) Per the story. (18:03) Per the Bible.(18:04) Per the book of Exodus. (18:05) Yes, sir. (18:05) That’s correct.(18:07) So the clouds spoke to them. (18:09) But when they say spoke, once again, we have to take into account, spoken could be the (18:13) thunder. (18:16) Well, sure.(18:18) Just like God took a leak on them. (18:20) It’s the rain. (18:22) I’m sorry.(18:23) What book is that? (18:24) Deuteronomy? (18:25) It was Deuteronomy. (18:28) Well, once again, it’s kind of like the flying chariot, right? (18:30) Chariot of fire or whatever. (18:31) It could be a spaceship back in the day, right? (18:33) But they knew it was a flying chariot because that was their transportation.(18:36) That was the way they… (18:37) Yeah. (18:38) You know what I’m saying? (18:39) If it’s lost in translation. (18:41) I’m not saying that is or isn’t.(18:42) No, I agree. (18:43) But, I mean, you could… (18:47) That’s a different conversation. (18:49) Right, right.(18:50) So… (18:51) Yeah, absolutely. (18:52) We should talk about that sometime. (18:53) Yeah, sometime.(18:54) We need a notepad of all the times we say, we should do a podcast about that. (18:57) Because we say that twice a fucking episode. (18:59) We say that so many times.(18:59) And then we never… (19:00) I forgot what we said. (19:02) And then we only listen to it once. (19:03) And we only listen to it when it comes out.(19:05) And then I forget it two milliseconds after I hear it. (19:08) So would you like to get started? (19:10) Yes. (19:11) Okay.(19:11) Okay. (19:11) So what we’re going to do, we’re going to break down each of the ten. (19:14) I’m just going to read them the way I see them.(19:15) If you have a better version, let me know. (19:18) I don’t. (19:18) Because you know them.(19:19) Okay, I’ll just pull that up. (19:20) Do you want me to plug it in so you can see it? (19:22) No, I don’t give a shit. (19:24) What are you reading from? (19:25) I’m reading just one of these wiki pages.(19:27) Okay. (19:28) Or just one of these… (19:30) It looked like the most accurate verbiage. (19:34) Like in a very basic way.(19:36) Because it’s kind of like… (19:37) It reminds me of the Bill of Rights. (19:38) Where the Bill of Rights were very simply written. (19:41) Yeah.(19:41) And designed to be kind of ambiguous in some ways. (19:46) Okay. (19:46) So number one.(19:48) I am the Lord thy God. (19:49) Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (19:53) So number one comes through.(19:55) I am the Lord your God. (19:57) You shall have no other gods before me. (20:00) Next! (20:01) Well, let’s talk about this.(20:02) Let’s break it down. (20:04) Break it down. (20:06) Why is that necessary? (20:07) Don’t you think that that’s directly related to the fact that there was a calf? (20:11) A golden calf there? (20:13) Yeah.(20:13) And it said, hey dipshits. (20:15) Don’t worship the golden calves. (20:17) Or anything else.(20:18) I’m the only one. (20:19) And that’s where number two comes in too. (20:21) But in this case.(20:22) This reminds me of like the first set of controls. (20:26) We have a man who’s a leader. (20:29) Who goes up alone.(20:31) And comes down with something that says. (20:35) The guy whose ear I have and only me. (20:38) Right? (20:39) The guy who talks to me.(20:40) And no one else really. (20:42) Basically. (20:43) The guy who talks to me and told me these things.(20:45) Told me he’s your guy. (20:48) Moses. (20:49) So you have.(20:49) Well. (20:50) God is your God. (20:52) So you have to go through me for everything to get to God.(20:55) So I’m going to create. (20:57) Verbiage that says. (20:59) The I’m your only God.(21:01) Not I am. (21:02) But God is. (21:02) But because Moses is the only one that can speak to him.(21:06) Moses becomes de facto. (21:09) God. (21:10) Right? (21:10) On earth.(21:11) Because he’s the one to whom everyone has to go. (21:14) To get God’s ear. (21:17) Yes.(21:18) Okay. (21:19) Any other thoughts on that one? (21:24) I think you should clarify when you say. (21:28) A system in place to control people.(21:31) So. (21:32) I know what you mean. (21:33) But somebody that may be listening for the first time.(21:35) What do you. (21:37) What are you specifically talking about? (21:40) Yeah. (21:40) So anything that would put you in line.(21:43) So you have to abide by someone else’s rules. (21:46) Is kind of a system of control. (21:49) We’ve talked about it.(21:51) I mean. (21:52) Government has some controls in place. (21:54) But our governments change over the time.(21:55) It wasn’t supposed to have the power. (21:57) It kind of does now. (21:58) Wasn’t really designed that way.(22:00) Yeah. (22:01) Designed to be a lot more free. (22:01) Right? (22:02) Yeah.(22:02) But basically anything that can make you do something. (22:05) You don’t know. (22:06) You know.(22:06) Make you do something. (22:07) Really force you to do something. (22:09) And.(22:11) Kind of own you. (22:13) In a way. (22:14) Kind of can tell you what to do.(22:16) And how to do it. (22:16) And when to do it. (22:17) Right? (22:18) I’m Moses.(22:19) There’s no other God than the one that I talk to. (22:22) So if I tell you something. (22:24) I just tell you that it came from God.(22:26) And that’s your only God. (22:28) And you have to trust that. (22:29) And you have to trust that.(22:29) And you have to believe that. (22:30) Right. (22:32) Okay.(22:32) So he comes down with this thing that says. (22:35) The God that. (22:36) My God.(22:36) Is your only God. (22:38) The one that talks to me. (22:39) My God.(22:40) Is. (22:41) Your only God. (22:43) God just told me.(22:44) To tell you. (22:45) Yeah. (22:45) That there’s no other ones.(22:47) Out there. (22:47) It’s just me. (22:48) But I’m the only one who can talk to him.(22:51) So guess what. (22:52) Guess what that means. (22:52) That means that I can tell you.(22:54) That God told me to tell you to. (22:56) Go plow that field. (22:57) Or to.(22:58) Pick those berries. (22:59) Or to. (22:59) Kill that person.(23:01) Or to do whatever. (23:05) I have a question. (23:05) Yes sir.(23:06) Hasn’t that been the case. (23:09) With. (23:10) Many religions.(23:12) Since the dawn of humanity. (23:15) Yeah. (23:16) I would agree.(23:17) This is one of the first. (23:19) I don’t know if this is one of the first documented religions though. (23:23) Like.(23:24) Even though Egyptians had. (23:26) You know they had many gods right. (23:27) And the Greeks had many gods.(23:29) And why not. (23:30) Very polytheistic. (23:31) The Romans were also very polytheistic.(23:37) Having many gods. (23:38) They didn’t ever have decrees. (23:39) They just used gods to explain things that were going on.(23:43) They didn’t have decrees. (23:44) They just used. (23:44) It’s not like God told.(23:45) Like Zeus told you to do something. (23:48) That would never. (23:49) Like Aphrodite never told anyone what to do.(23:52) Aphrodite was just. (23:53) You know. (23:54) One of the gods.(23:55) They just made sacrifices to them. (23:56) And prayed to them. (23:57) That they would have good fortune.(23:58) Right. (23:59) I would guess. (24:00) Okay.(24:01) But they never. (24:02) It’s not like. (24:05) Hi.(24:06) That’s a terrible picture. (24:07) It’s. (24:07) In my.(24:08) From my estimation. (24:09) It’s not like they. (24:10) They use that to.(24:12) Bring. (24:13) Like laws and control down on you. (24:16) Understood.(24:16) Right. (24:17) So anyway. (24:17) So.(24:18) Once again. (24:19) I am Lord thy God. (24:20) Thou shalt have no other gods for me.(24:21) In my opinion. (24:22) That one’s manufactured by Moses. (24:24) Because he claimed he was the only one who could speak to God.(24:27) It reminds me very much of. (24:28) Joseph Smith. (24:30) Even though God.(24:31) Was heard by the people. (24:34) Through the cloud. (24:36) That yes.(24:37) Per that story. (24:38) That. (24:40) Could have happened.(24:41) I. (24:41) I don’t know if there were words uttered. (24:44) But hearing it. (24:45) Could have.(24:45) In my opinion. (24:46) Could have been just thunder. (24:47) Well if you’re a believer of.(24:49) Christianity. (24:50) Or Judaism. (24:52) Then.(24:53) That did happen. (24:54) According to the Bible. (24:56) According to the Old Testament.(24:57) Which is in both of those faiths. (24:59) That happened. (25:00) Do you know.(25:01) How long that was spoken before that was written down Deuteronomy. (25:04) Or was it written down as is. (25:07) No idea.(25:08) Curious right. (25:09) Yeah. (25:10) Wonder if.(25:11) How quickly the story can change. (25:12) I don’t even know who wrote those. (25:13) Who wrote the Old Testament.(25:15) So I probably should have looked that up. (25:16) Man you read this thing twice bro. (25:18) Yeah but I was like 15.(25:19) I know. (25:20) And there was a test on Friday. (25:21) And then.(25:22) Once I took that test. (25:23) I forgot those chapters. (25:24) And I just had to worry about the next chapters.(25:26) And then you know you just flush it. (25:28) Right. (25:30) Yeah.(25:32) Yeah. (25:33) There’s only so much information I can retain bro. (25:35) I don’t have a flushing.(25:36) Oh you do need one. (25:38) So that one. (25:39) So last final thoughts on that.(25:41) Because you’re claiming God did speak to the people. (25:44) So there was. (25:45) According to the book.(25:45) Yes. (25:46) Yes. (25:46) Per the book.(25:47) So that happened. (25:48) I don’t have. (25:51) There’s not much evidence from my side.(25:52) To show what that interaction was. (25:55) Whether it was just the sound of thunder. (25:57) Or whether it was actually like.(25:59) I am God. (25:59) Listen to this guy coming down the hill with these things. (26:03) Right.(26:04) I feel like if God said that. (26:06) They would have written that down. (26:07) That’s just my opinion.(26:10) Because. (26:10) It would be worthy of writing down. (26:13) Yeah.(26:14) Yeah. (26:14) Yeah. (26:14) I would think so.(26:15) Right. (26:15) Just like when the burnt. (26:16) When the bush caught on fire and spoke to Moses.(26:18) He told him things. (26:19) Right. (26:19) Yeah.(26:19) And then he wrote those down. (26:21) So. (26:22) Anyway.(26:23) Number two. (26:24) Next. (26:24) Numero doso.(26:26) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images. (26:30) This is where that golden calf I think came in. (26:32) Agreed.(26:33) Dude. (26:34) Can I tell you something? (26:36) I love graven images. (26:38) Me too.(26:38) I don’t even know what that means. (26:39) But it sounds cool. (26:40) Great.(26:41) I like engraving things. (26:43) Well, you got tats, bro. (26:44) It looks like you’re a graven.(26:45) Can you show your graven side? (26:46) Boom. (26:46) Graven images. (26:47) Oh.(26:47) There you go. (26:48) What’s up, Edward? (26:49) Boom. (26:49) I read a little bit more into this.(26:51) And what they meant by graven images. (26:53) And it was like worshipping images. (26:55) So, like a sports car.(26:57) Oh. (26:57) You know, your clothes. (26:58) Your jewelry.(26:59) So, it’s anything. (27:02) It does go into the false idol thing as well. (27:04) Which is what I think happened.(27:06) He came down. (27:07) He sees these motherfuckers. (27:08) They’re all dancing around a golden calf.(27:10) He’s like, oh shit. (27:11) I gotta get. (27:11) I gotta take this.(27:12) I gotta take control of this situation. (27:14) Yeah. (27:14) So, I’ll just write another thing in here.(27:17) This is the only god. (27:19) The god I talk to is the only one that exists. (27:21) Number two.(27:22) You can’t have anybody else either. (27:24) You can’t have anyone else. (27:24) But that.(27:25) So. (27:26) Yeah. (27:26) Like.(27:27) I’m nipping this in the bud right now. (27:29) To get one line. (27:31) In.(27:32) One line in place. (27:32) It just seems to me like pretty. (27:35) Almost dictator-like.(27:37) Personally. (27:38) I also read that. (27:42) For about the first 900 years.(27:44) Until the year 900 A.D. (27:48) Or whatever the other one is. (27:49) I forget. (27:50) Um.(27:51) B.C. (27:51) No. (27:52) No. (27:52) Uh.(27:52) B.C. (27:53) Or C.E. (27:54) C.E. (27:54) A.D. (27:56) B.C. (27:56) B.C. (27:56) E. (27:57) And C.E. (27:57) Uh. (27:58) I need to work on my shit, dude. (27:59) So.(28:00) They. (28:01) The people. (28:02) In power.(28:03) And. (28:04) And. (28:04) Both.(28:05) Governmentally and religiously. (28:06) They took that commandment. (28:08) To mean.(28:10) You shall have no image. (28:15) With the likeness of Jesus. (28:17) Or.(28:18) Of God. (28:19) So. (28:20) When.(28:21) People made those images. (28:23) To worship. (28:23) Or to pay homage to.(28:24) Etc. (28:25) Other people would destroy those. (28:27) Would destroy the statues.(28:28) Or the paintings. (28:29) Uh. (28:30) So that.(28:30) For a couple hundred years. (28:31) Between about 700. (28:33) 900 A.D. (28:34) That they.(28:35) These factions. (28:35) The dark ages almost. (28:36) Yeah.(28:37) Yeah. (28:37) Pre-dark ages. (28:38) Sure.(28:38) Whatever. (28:39) Right after. (28:39) I mean it’s when Rome fell.(28:40) Right? (28:40) When the dark ages. (28:41) Rome fell 450. (28:42) So yeah.(28:42) So this probably would have been before. (28:43) But all over Europe. (28:44) Yeah before.(28:44) I mean it was obviously. (28:45) This. (28:46) The massive spread of Christianity.(28:47) But these factions went back and forth. (28:49) On whether or not. (28:50) You can have a statue of Jesus.(28:52) Or you can have a statue of Mary. (28:53) Or. (28:54) Whatever your saint of choices.(28:55) Or whatever it is. (28:56) Right? (28:56) So. (28:57) So they interpreted it differently.(28:58) They interpreted it as. (28:59) You shall have no grave in images. (29:00) Meaning.(29:01) You can’t even. (29:02) Have a statue of. (29:03) The God.(29:04) Or. (29:05) The. (29:05) Your.(29:06) Jesus. (29:07) Or whoever your person of choice is. (29:08) Right? (29:09) So.(29:10) They went back and forth. (29:11) Until finally there was a. (29:12) A. (29:12) It was convened that it was okay to have that. (29:15) Statue of Jesus.(29:16) But not a statue of God. (29:17) That was. (29:18) The Christian God.(29:20) That was. (29:21) A compromise. (29:21) It was decided right around 900 A.D. (29:23) So.(29:24) Which is funny. (29:25) The dark ages. (29:26) Yeah.(29:26) But then. (29:27) Happened from 400 to 1400. (29:28) There you go.(29:29) That’s a long. (29:30) A thousand years. (29:30) A thousand years of fucking craziness.(29:31) So. (29:32) But. (29:32) And it was right smack dab in the middle of that.(29:34) Correct. (29:35) Okay. (29:36) What’s.(29:37) Right away I thought of how. (29:39) In Islam. (29:40) You.(29:40) You can’t have an image of Muhammad. (29:42) So. (29:43) It’s.(29:43) It’s. (29:43) It’s. (29:44) And that.(29:44) That article referenced that. (29:45) And as well as another article. (29:47) That.(29:47) Talked about the same. (29:48) Thing. (29:49) I read two articles about it basically.(29:50) About this commandment. (29:51) And it said the same thing. (29:52) Where.(29:53) Still today. (29:54) You can’t do that. (29:56) In the.(29:57) You know. (29:57) The Muslim faith. (29:58) So.(29:59) They. (30:00) They’ve taken that. (30:01) Still.(30:02) To 2020. (30:03) Where. (30:03) They’ve taken that to.(30:04) Kill people. (30:05) Correct. (30:06) Up to 2020.(30:07) I mean. (30:07) You can look at. (30:08) My favorite show South Park.(30:09) Where they were going to do a. (30:10) They were going to do a show. (30:12) On. (30:13) Muslims.(30:14) And they were going to show Muhammad. (30:15) And the creators of the show got death threats. (30:17) Right.(30:17) But you can look at Charlie. (30:18) As well. (30:18) In France.(30:19) Right. (30:19) The 12 people got killed. (30:21) From the cartoonist in France.(30:24) Did you know. (30:24) Charlie. (30:25) Yeah.(30:26) The. (30:26) The. (30:27) Cart.(30:27) It was Charlie. (30:29) You’re going to make me. (30:30) No that’s fine.(30:31) What year was that? (30:31) It was only a few years ago. (30:33) It was recently right? (30:34) Yeah. (30:34) I heard about it but I don’t know the name.(30:35) I don’t know why Charlie. (30:36) Charlie Hebdo. (30:37) Okay.(30:37) Sure. (30:38) That’s what it was. (30:38) A Charlie Hebdo cartoon.(30:39) It had a picture of Muhammad. (30:41) Guy goes in there. (30:42) Guns down the place.(30:43) Killed. (30:43) I think killed 12 people. (30:44) So that.(30:45) You can see that. (30:45) Charlie Hebdo is the name of the place. (30:46) That.(30:46) The. (30:47) This. (30:47) The commandments.(30:48) 2015. (30:49) 7th of January. (30:50) You can see how the commandments.(30:54) Altered. (30:55) Other faiths. (30:56) As well.(30:57) You know what I mean? (30:57) That’s. (30:58) That’s. (30:59) Has.(31:01) Got a. (31:01) A really. (31:03) Strong. (31:03) Foothold in the Muslim.(31:05) Communities. (31:06) And that’s. (31:06) Very dear to them.(31:07) And you know. (31:08) I. (31:08) I admire the shit out of that. (31:10) If that’s what they believe.(31:11) That’s. (31:12) Cool. (31:12) That’s great.(31:13) I mean. (31:14) Muhammad isn’t God though. (31:15) Muhammad is just a prophet.(31:16) He is a prophet. (31:17) Correct. (31:18) But.(31:19) It’s. (31:20) A holy prophet right? (31:21) Well. (31:21) According to the Jews.(31:22) Jesus was just a prophet as well. (31:24) Yes. (31:24) But you can have images of Jesus.(31:26) What I find interesting about this. (31:28) It felt like. (31:29) Coming out of.(31:30) Commandment number one. (31:33) No other gods. (31:34) Well no other graven images would be.(31:36) No other. (31:36) Besides mine. (31:37) Yeah.(31:38) So I. (31:38) I don’t understand how. (31:39) How that would get. (31:40) That twisted.(31:41) Yeah. (31:41) To be you can’t even have. (31:42) You would think you’d want.(31:44) Your God. (31:45) The God. (31:46) In your house.(31:47) So you can see them all the time. (31:48) They’re always watching you. (31:50) You can be.(31:50) You can worship them at any time. (31:52) Yeah. (31:52) That’s just my opinion.(31:53) I don’t. (31:54) Any thought on how that. (31:55) Changed.(31:56) Well if you look at it. (31:57) I mean. (31:57) This.(31:58) The. (31:58) The. (31:59) Across Europe.(32:00) The factions going back and forth. (32:02) That was seven hundred years. (32:03) After Christ.(32:04) So. (32:05) You know that was. (32:07) Seven.(32:07) That was. (32:09) Two thousand years. (32:10) After.(32:11) The. (32:11) Ten commandments were given to Moses. (32:13) So.(32:14) Of course. (32:15) Interpretations different. (32:16) You know.(32:16) You’re talking. (32:17) Seven hundred years after. (32:19) Jesus lived.(32:20) The. (32:20) The. (32:20) The Roman Empire.(32:21) Is. (32:22) Long gone. (32:23) Right.(32:23) So it’s a completely different way of life. (32:25) And there’s new innovations. (32:26) And.(32:26) People had different kinds of paper. (32:28) And all. (32:28) That’s why it’s a dark ages though.(32:29) Because they lost everything. (32:31) The. (32:31) The.(32:32) The libraries burned. (32:33) And everything went to shit. (32:34) It wasn’t till the.(32:35) Middle ages. (32:36) That was the age of enlightenment again. (32:38) Well.(32:38) Maybe that’s what it is. (32:39) Maybe that’s why they went back and forth. (32:41) The.(32:41) Right. (32:41) I mean. (32:42) It just.(32:42) It went dark. (32:43) Well. (32:44) It literally went dark.(32:45) Because. (32:46) Because. (32:46) All.(32:47) A lot of. (32:48) Knowledge. (32:49) Got swallowed up in the loss of Rome.(32:51) In the fall of Rome. (32:52) It seemed like that almost. (32:53) The head.(32:54) Spearheaded that. (32:55) It’s really interesting. (32:56) I mean.(32:56) It’s just fascinating to me. (32:58) So. (32:59) Anything else about.(33:01) The. (33:01) Graven. (33:02) Images.(33:03) Nope. (33:04) All right. (33:05) That was easy.(33:07) Click the staples button. (33:09) We have. (33:09) I have one somewhere.(33:10) Do you? (33:10) Please not. (33:11) Not here. (33:12) Oh.(33:12) Okay. (33:13) Okay. (33:13) Okay.(33:15) Okay. (33:16) Number three. (33:17) Go.(33:18) Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. (33:22) God’s damn it. (33:23) God’s damn.(33:26) So. (33:28) Isn’t that kind of self explanatory? (33:31) I guess. (33:32) But does it mean the way we’ve always taught it meant? (33:35) Okay.(33:35) Well. (33:36) If it doesn’t mean that what does it mean? No, well, how do you interpret it meaning is my question? Don’t say goddamn it (33:42) Right, don’t don’t swear using the word God in it and stuff like that, right? Yeah, don’t use his name in vain (33:49) Don’t say goddammit, that’s how I enjoy you can’t also say oh my god (33:54) Poop Jesus Christ. You can’t say that either. You see what I’m saying? (33:58) Judas do you want super salad goddammit kind of makes sense to not say goddammit? (34:03) Because you’re damn you’re trying to damn God at that point you’re saying god (34:06) Damn it. You you bastard you fucked me. You made me fumble on the one-yard line. You hate our team (34:12) That’s all God’s fault cuz I interest loss, bro, right? (34:15) That is one way right? But the other one is also saying like Jesus Christ or oh my god (34:20) Cuz you’re comparing other things to God. Oh my god could be good (34:23) But you can still use it and you’re still using it in vain. You are still using it in Maine, right? (34:27) Well in some expression, it’s not just in a negative connotation (34:32) like Jesus Christ (34:34) Like there could be a wow factor.Oh my god, you’re your lady friends with you Christopher and she’s like (34:40) I don’t know. Did she sound like that? (34:46) What what are we talking about your woman friend when you’re like hi, and she’s like, oh my god (34:55) Anyway, I’m gonna go (34:57) Once again this one. What do you even think what? (35:01) What do you think about this cuz? (35:03) What do you think about this one why why it was put in there whether it’s necessary and it’s meaning and what course is not (35:09) Necessary, I guess basically don’t be disrespectful to God.I mean, is that (35:14) Is that sum it up or what almost feels like saying it in any way loses the power of God? (35:22) And once again, it’s another control (35:24) So like by saying it like you’re you’re kind of talking shit about God by using it to your point when you say goddamn it (35:30) right, for example, you know, I say that a lot and (35:33) you you know more people say it the more people start believing that and (35:38) God God forbid (35:41) Moses (35:42) Had lets that happen. I mean, it’s just once again, he’s got to lead these people (35:47) You know for better or worse whether he’s doing good or not (35:50) He still seems to me like he’s leading them in a very controlling kind of matter in my opinion. That’s what it feels like (35:55) Well, they keep listening to him, right right, but they he’s also says because I can talk to God right (36:02) It doesn’t hurt that he that God’s the one telling special, right? (36:06) So he’s basically telling them that he’s but I’m not saying he’s not once again (36:10) I’m just talking about the way this is perceived from a 50,000 foot view (36:17) From a 3,000 foot view, you know, you know what happened from birds.I’m on a podcast a while ago (36:22) Can I can I tangent this right quick is there a story time? No, it’s very brief. Oh, uh a (36:30) co-worker (36:31) listens to the podcast and (36:34) he um, I (36:36) Said on a podcast how I hate that expression (36:40) Then on Monday morning he used that expression on a conference call and I was like you mother trucker (36:47) And he had listened to it that weekend. Yes, that’s (36:49) And the call goes hey, man, I was does just for you man, it’s like son of a nutcracker (36:55) That is beauty. He got me so good. That is good (36:59) Shout out shout out to the non-docs person. Yeah shit.It was funny dude. I have said some very stupid shit (37:06) What? (37:07) Yeah, what are you talking about one that just came out there’s one that just came out I opened with the thing (37:12) I thought I took that out and I didn’t what what thing the beginning right at the beginning talking. I was awesome (37:19) I sounded like a total moron and I am okay.I know cuz it’s totally it is totally in jest, but okay last thoughts about (37:27) Using the words. What what do you think? It’s in there for I mean, so you don’t think that one’s necessary (37:32) Like what’s the what’s the need? What? (37:35) Why how is this one important to God? I don’t think it’s important at all (37:38) I think it’s total common sense, but if you’re talking about something that happened (37:44) 3350 years ago (37:46) Do the people need those? (37:50) These in their life. Do they need to be told? (37:54) Hey (37:55) Don’t take God’s name in vain (37:58) Be respectful to God (38:00) Which also goes into be a good person if you’re being respectful to God (38:05) You should be respectful of your brother and your wife and whatever your donkeys and shit (38:10) I don’t know.So is it does it you know us you and I talking right now (38:17) We’re in an air-conditioned room with the AC and that’s redundantly redundant, excuse me, and (38:24) I’m not the DC ceiling fan altering current. Also, we’ve got a also Andy’s whoa (38:30) But these people didn’t they didn’t even have shoes some of them, right? (38:33) So they nothing so you’re talking that we can’t even fathom what their lives were like (38:40) They were slaves in Egypt and now they’re roaming the desert for 40 years (38:44) so (38:47) Did they have to be reminded of certain things right because can we put ourselves in their shoes? (38:55) sandals, yeah (38:56) Sapatos, I like exactly what you’re saying and I’m gonna come to a final conclusion. It’s a very Jerry Springer like, okay final thought (39:03) Yeah, that’s gonna happen at the end.Oh, it’s cuz it wouldn’t be a final thought (39:07) however to your point (39:11) Yes (39:12) The thing is once again to me the first three seem like control control control, right? I’m the only God (39:18) Because I’m the only one that can talk to God. You got to talk to me. So I kind of (39:22) Control you guys because I won’t allow any other (39:25) Competent competitors there.I won’t let any competition any other God out there. No other pictures. No other golden calves, right? (39:31) Nothing else boom now.I’ve eliminated the competition now. I’ve got a monopoly on this (39:38) Control and three is yeah (39:41) Don’t diminish that word because if you diminish that word that that actually dings chips away at my control of you. I (39:48) See that’s how I see it.I I know I see it. I get it. I just feel like (39:53) Some people I mean look sometimes to be a leader. You have to make very very very challenging decisions. I (40:01) Can’t imagine being president and having to make a decision to use a drone to take out a general of (40:08) Iran like the top general Iran and 20 other people are gonna die and you know this and (40:14) Is that like how do you put a value on like I I would be crippled with that kind of leadership (40:19) I don’t have leadership in me. I just don’t well leadership and the ability to (40:25) Make the decision to kill 21 people are totally different things (40:29) So you can’t right but I think Lee I mean being able to make that tough decision that that could be inside of a leader (40:35) Right that yeah that a leader could make would be able to make that decision if they had felt if they felt they had to (40:43) Look at Churchill.I mean World War one was not kind of Winston Churchill. He almost was completely out of the military (40:49) Yeah, yeah. Yeah.He was at the Strait of Gibraltar (40:52) I think it was he like 50,000 people dying like a day or some shit. Yeah or 60 (40:58) It was some ridiculous and it was like the biggest loss in the history of any war any kind and he sent them all there to (41:04) Die because it was a high-risk high-reward (41:06) Move yeah, but he that was what his leadership had to do (41:11) But look at what he did in World War two and how his leadership kept that country together (41:15) I mean, I don’t know how that survived the way it did it was under attack constantly every day (41:21) For years, I mean years three years true when more than three years. Yeah, so (41:28) Yeah, so that to me like I said those feel like control system, but what do you think I (41:34) See you I you would say that (41:39) I don’t understand why there’s ten Commandments because the first three to me are all the same one (41:46) So right there.I’m the Lord thy God thou shall have no other God before me (41:54) just or say (41:57) Word those three differently (42:00) Worship me. That’s it (42:03) Because those three are all (42:06) The same to me that’s it to me it’s it’s dumb and that’s not a nice thing to say yes, sir you (42:14) To your point though, you just said these people were dumb. Well, no, I said maybe those people were dumb (42:20) But remember they they they were slaves. They were absolutely not educated. They couldn’t were illiterate (42:25) Educated dude, I would think Egyptians were pretty educated like think about the hieroglyphics and some what some of the right? (42:31) Yes, certain Egyptians were yeah, not all (42:34) But there was a handful of slaves, but the ones that weren’t slaves door true (42:39) I see what you’re saying, but to that point I say they were dumb. I’m I’m saying the fact that there’s ten Commandments and (42:47) The first three to me are basically the same (42:51) Couldn’t you just have seven Commandments and in fact, we’ll get down the list when there’s other ones (42:56) I think we should right but I’ve talked about that.Um, I (43:02) It I don’t I guess I’m stupid and logical and I like efficiency (43:07) So why do you need ten when you can have seven? (43:10) I also feel though that’s to the to your point. They might be needed to be told exactly these things in order and (43:17) Individually like step one don’t don’t touch the hot thing step two. Don’t touch the hot thing (43:23) You know, I mean like let three go to one.Yeah, exactly. Go back to one, right like (43:28) Come on, I get it (43:29) I see you’re saying (43:30) you know they had to be look they had to be led and (43:33) Don’t get me wrong like Moses must have been one hell of a fucking leader to bring to bring all those people out like (43:39) If if that is all true in historical documents and that I mean, I think you know, whatever it is if it is that’s amazing (43:47) Yeah, anyway, so I agree with you first three could be just one also in my opinion their control systems (43:54) they are (43:56) literally there for (43:58) Moses to keep control of the people (44:00) By saying he’s the only one who can talk to God and got this is the only God you’re gonna get or is God (44:05) using that as a control system and (44:10) Moses is his puppet or that’s not the right word, but you see what I’m saying, right? I mean is God saying (44:17) Hey, hey, I’m the real one. Yeah, you need to get your shit together.I (44:22) Mean, is that is that possible? (44:27) does an (44:28) Entity that created though everything the F (44:32) Does that does that entity really need you to be told like? (44:38) Is that a probably separate conversation does it mean no, it doesn’t I yeah. Yeah. Yeah, you’re correct (44:44) Like it made everything.Yes, if God made (44:48) The universe in six days and rested on the seventh then does does God really need yeah (44:54) No, I get you. Does he need me? I (44:57) Do bro? (44:59) Megs he does the good thing is that we all want each other and that’s important because that’s one everybody (45:07) Okay, there’s some people I want to go away went to go. What am I the crew say don’t go away mad (45:11) Just go away.Don’t go away man. I hate seeing you go, but I love watching you leave (45:16) That’s totally different, but I know if it’s the same thing get don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out (45:20) Okay, you know anyway agreed with you now number four (45:24) Let’s put let’s pump that one in remember the Sabbath day to keep it. Holy.So one day a week (45:33) Yeah, think about me all day if that ain’t control or some kind of ego trip. I don’t know what what is right? (45:40) Yeah, how many how many how much control you think was like? (45:43) Hey, make sure you guys think about God at least one full day a year a week (45:48) I got to keep those hooks in you (45:50) Just an opinion, you know who copied that template (45:57) No, the NFL (46:00) Thanks. You’re welcome.Wow (46:03) boom (46:07) I (46:09) Feel I don’t know if you watch the Great British Bake-off hell no Netflix (46:13) But sometimes poor Hollywood is unshake. This is my handshake to you is that cheer? (46:18) So tell me more no go back to you (46:19) Well, it’s I mean we just did the concussion thing and the the the movie that neither of us have watched where they said (46:26) The NFL owned Sunday and the NFL is more popular than God. That was a line from the movie that I saw in the trailer.So (46:35) it’s obvious that (46:37) It seems like more people watch football than go to church (46:40) So the fourth commandment is being broken every time every get every kickoff (46:46) Yeah, but the wind the half the teams. Thank Jesus for the win. Okay, that’s a different story, bro (46:51) So they’re keeping it holy because when they win they thank Jesus for the win.So they’re thinking about God. They can’t be Jewish (46:59) They can thank God as well. No, they’re not.Yeah way. Well, yeah, you could be our way (47:04) It could be my way too. If you want to be our way my way our way highway the highway (47:10) The body with anything goes tonight (47:15) Good point (47:16) Go football.Yeah, so remember the Sabbath day. Keep it holy once again. It’s just like I’m your only God (47:23) No other gods (47:26) Don’t (47:26) Talk shit about God and remember me at least one full day a week.Yes, if that’s not some kind of controlly (47:34) Or some way to keep you kind of in line. I don’t know what it is because it’s basically training you or (47:42) What’s that called? (47:44) Guiding you (47:46) What grooming grooming you to follow this thing, yeah (47:53) Commandment 4.5 (47:57) Megzi shall not make dinner while we’re recording a podcast (48:00) with the window open (48:01) Because it smells it smells freaking super good back to you. Thank you Megzi and her best BFF are out there.Oh, okay (48:09) I wonder. Oh, I wonder if they brought the other dog again because they were so cute together on insta member (48:15) The big lab. You take you smush their faces all the faces (48:38) boxer love org BOX ER L UV dot org dot org, please Oh (48:45) Number five bro number five honor they father and thy mother I don’t want to no don’t make me do it (48:53) No, fuck off (48:55) How about fuck off? (48:57) Bro, what you know, you love your parents bro as much as (49:02) I (49:04) Know but kinda (49:07) It’s it’s it’s double-edged. No, please talk. It’s double-edged though. I just have a problem with (49:14) What if they’re dicks honor they father and mother semi-colon regardless even if they’re dicks (49:21) That’s not cool, that’s not cool. How can you literally write something in stone? (49:27) What if what if he beats me what if (49:30) Happened every day back.Yeah, what if she is a drug addict? What if I mean, this is just stupid (49:38) At a certain point and that go to me that just goes right down the road of well, that’s just your family (49:43) You can’t pick them. Fuck you. Fuck off like, you know, I mean you I’ve known you for 28 years (49:50) And you’re my brother dude (49:52) Like we’ve been through all kinds of stupid shit together and I’d rather hang out with you than some of my blood relatives (49:58) And she doesn’t listen to this.So fuck her. So it doesn’t really matter. I (50:01) Also, Tammy and all of the tambourines (50:05) No, I agree with you and this is once again, did you control bring up? Hey, man (50:11) Let’s do the Ten Commandments podcast. So Peralta loses his fucking mom mind number five. Is that what the whole plan? (50:17) I had the under prick. I had the at you (50:19) I put a thousand dollars on five.It was actually funny because (50:23) So the story today is that? (50:27) Mr. Peralta sends me a text that goes what’s your angle about the Ten Commandments and I said, oh (50:31) I just want to go through each of them and (50:34) Objectively look at them as and whether necessary or whether there’s a control whether they’re good bad indifferent (50:39) Whatever not whatever and he merely texted. I don’t want this to be a bitch session (50:45) What what just happened and then Vegas called and and Vegas said the over-under at four and a half (50:52) Commandments that he would lose my hand and he did it at five and I took the over so I win (50:56) I thought you could hold on till five but you did so congratulations. No this one once again (51:02) I do self.Well, it’s funny cuz I know I (51:06) Didn’t I don’t know them verbatim. I do not know them off the top of my head. I kind of go (51:10) Yeah, I kind of go through them (51:11) But I don’t know them exactly right the father mother one till today again.I totally forgot that it was in there (51:17) Okay, I’m not gonna lie. So when I saw it today, I will admit I was like (51:20) Cuz I wrote yeah (51:23) But it was I know they finally mother to me another control (51:26) It’s like you your direct elders are your control. I control them. They control you. That’s how it works (51:32) This is the lineage you pay attention that do not do not stay in your lane, bro (51:37) That’s base. It’s Moses’s version of stay in your lane, bro (51:46) I mean my dad did teach me to respect my elders (51:50) That was one thing he said and he always obviously the military guy (51:54) Respect the chain of command. So and I like those things. I think those are good things (52:01) But I think you have to earn that respect. You can’t be a dickhead (52:07) So that why isn’t that 5.5? (52:10) Well, we have to respect is true (52:13) Well, we did (52:15) We did a podcast on courtesy verse respect in my opinion (52:19) You were taught courtesy. It was called respect, but you were actually taught courtesy common (52:25) Oh decent courtesy. The respect part is an admiration. You can’t have admiration (52:32) Without it being earned in your opinion.Just like I agree. I think you have to earn my admiration. I think it’s admiration (52:38) But remember when we went through the definition (52:41) Yeah, everyone keeps can I it’s my opinion that people are still conflating respect and courtesy (52:45) I think it’s my parents taught me courtesy.I think holding a door for someone is courteous. Yeah, it’s not respectful (52:52) I agree because you don’t know you don’t even know who’s behind you correct (52:56) So without that the respect is has not been built correct. So you can’t have it can’t be a respectful act (53:05) Right, we’re taught manners we’re taught manners and courtesy is my opinion (53:08) I just think we’re using different words and the word get makes it kind of confusing then when we’re trying to (53:14) Separate what respect is right, right, but is that are we talking about the Fifth Commandment or what are we talking about? (53:23) No, we’re just talking about general respect like cuz you’re talking about your dad teaching respect.I just merely wanted to state (53:28) I think he taught you Kirti courtesy and manners (53:32) Okay, I see your point. That’s all (53:36) What do you got a number five, bro (53:38) once again (53:39) Controls. Okay.Yeah. All right (53:41) And the more I read these because that’s kind of what it started looking. I’m looking at it through a very critical lens and (53:50) It maybe you should buy it doing that.Well, I’m trying to look at it from a different (53:53) From an angle that like isn’t just a faith-based. Oh, yeah, I get it honor God. There’s only one (54:00) Okay, don’t don’t don’t swear with God’s name in it, okay like to me (54:05) I’m like this looks like they’re telling you what to do like down the line a list of of (54:10) control (54:11) But that’s your interpretation, right? That’s your (54:15) Perception, right? So can you look at it from the objective point of view of hey? (54:22) Maybe these ten sentences are the way that I can lead a good life (54:27) Right, I don’t mean can you can you step back and (54:32) Look at it from a different perspective in my opinion (54:35) I think I am looking at it objectively because the first three or four are (54:40) basically have nothing to do with living your life other than I (54:44) Do agree with that.So that is a caveat to my question. I do agree. So there’s a challenge there now (54:50) once again (54:50) This is why I asked to talk about it and I I hemmed and hawed about it because like I this isn’t a bitch session (54:56) I’m trying to look at these things (54:58) I know you have a different perspective than I do because we had we live (55:02) Similar yet very different lives. We have very different philosophies on certain things. Of course, so I love your feedback on this (55:10) I’m I’m not saying I’m right. I’m giving you my current opinion on this, right? Mm-hmm.And as I’m reading them, it’s like (55:17) well, yeah, how does not how does like (55:21) Being told that that there’s that this is the only God how does that make me live my life better? (55:26) I don’t I don’t see how those two things connect and (55:30) neither (55:31) You know using a name in vain or keeping the day. Holy (55:34) Thinking about him wasting my day. I’m sorry not being productive on a day and just thinking about God all the time (55:41) Well, you can still go people would misinterpret that to not work, right? Well, that’s how (55:45) Certain religions are that’s correct, but that’s not that’s not the Christian religion, right? (55:50) I mean you can still on a Sunday or Sabbath, whatever Sabbath you Saturday Sunday, whatever you want to call it (55:55) you can still go rake the leaves and you can still have a barbecue with your family and you can still do (56:04) things what watch the game but (56:08) Keep God in your mind or keep a religious perspective on things. That’s I mean, is that (56:14) You know, there’s two I guess there’s many many many interpretations (56:17) Let you know the one interpretation do nothing don’t work don’t cook don’t do you must have a day of (56:25) literal rest and (56:28) and (56:29) And think again keep God in the forefront of your mind. That’s a that’s a literal interpretation, right? Some have that. Yes, correct (56:35) Like the where they have like no ovens and no electricity on sat on Saturday (56:40) Which is the Sabbath for the Jewish correct or my dad because God rested on the seventh day (56:46) Yes, basically (56:49) Does nothing around that like literally he works his butt off (56:52) My dad is a workaholic, but I’m he literally shuts down on purpose (56:56) He has to force himself to shut down for that whole day.Well, maybe they wrote the commandment for him (57:02) No, I’m serious. Like the damn day off, right? Right, but it doesn’t say it to rest (57:07) It says keep it. Holy what I’m saying? (57:08) Yeah (57:09) a lot of people conflated also in another way the whole this this commandment with (57:14) Because God rested on the seventh day you shouldn’t do anything some people do that.I’m not I’m not it’s not good or bad or (57:19) Indifferent. I’m not criticizing that thought that’s it’s not a bad way to think because that’s how God was (57:25) So keeping it. Holy makes sense that oh, well, I’ll just follow God’s, you know day one, you know (57:30) Yeah, and I do know that also (57:35) Sunday obviously is a big Mormon day.Like I’ve got the moment my Mormon friends (57:40) They’re oh, hey, hey man, you wanna go do something nah, I can’t on Sunday, man (57:45) It’s family day. So they go to Baptist. They go to church (57:48) It’s always closed do family day and my one buddy’s like he couldn’t even go to Circle K to buy (57:54) Anything like oh, man, we needed something. It’s okay, but Sunday so we couldn’t go (57:58) It’s like you can’t even go to Circle K or a.m. P.m. Or a quick trip or something. Oh (58:05) Okay, I didn’t know that was a rule (58:07) Okay, have you seen workarounds on the Jewish faith? No, it’s interesting so they could either have someone cook for them so they use a (58:16) nun a non Jew (58:17) Yes, non kosher non Jew (58:19) Okay to observe Sabbath or what they’ll do is they’ll turn the light on before dusk and leave it on all night (58:27) Leave it on all night during the day till then till the next sundown then till Sunday night. I (58:36) Saturday is a Sabbath.Okay, so I think it’s sundown (58:39) Friday Friday to sundown Saturday, and I believe okay, but that’s the thing (58:43) They’ll just leave everything on or they’ll have the oven turned on (58:47) Before the Sun before they can’t use it and then like put the put like a roast in or something (58:51) Yeah, cuz they can turn it off, but they can’t turn it on (58:55) You know, I mean cuz they can’t use it or something (58:57) So there’s some interesting workarounds like look if you’re gonna if you’re gonna follow the faith for being then follow faith (59:03) Like I don’t have an issue with that. I think that’s I think it’s (59:06) Absolutely amazing to have that strict. Yeah, like to live kosher.I remember speaking with some Jewish people (59:13) About why why do kosher no shellfish? No, no lobster. No, no shrimp (59:19) No cheeseburgers because you can’t have cheese and meat together. Well, no pork.No bacon like (59:26) What right and and she don’t they know that it’s meat candy (59:31) Candy (59:34) She said it’s not about that because I’m like it was to my in my opinion it was initially done for health reasons (59:40) Yeah, and it doesn’t desert how long so shellfish gonna last in the desert with four minutes (59:45) Yeah, like literally out of the water put it right in your popper in your mouth (59:49) So she said it was for the tradition that was to celebrate the tradition of it by following in those steps (59:55) I’m honoring God and I thought that was a really good answer. Yeah that yeah, absolutely it is (59:59) I respect I admired that very much and I admire like I said you and I (1:00:04) We have challenges with people’s faith, but we do admire the the strength that people have in their faith. Oh, absolutely (1:00:12) Yeah, it’s definitely an admirable tree.Like I want to be clear that we’re not here to shit on anything (1:00:15) That’s why I want to have the conversation about this (1:00:18) So hey keep the Sabbath. Holy bro. All right last thoughts on on your mother Maja and your father (1:00:24) No, no, I don’t want to don’t tell me what to do (1:00:29) Don’t be a dick and then maybe I’ll do it (1:00:33) Alright, it should be a goddamn 5050 man (1:00:38) God’s damn it.Oh (1:00:41) In one sentence (1:00:44) Can you say Jesus Christ because this is a son of God not God and (1:00:50) Well, technically no according to Christianity. Jesus is God. He’s Jesus is God and is the also the Holy Spirit (1:00:58) It’s the Trinity, it’s the Holy Trinity.Yes, sir, but it says Lord that God so I didn’t know if that was anything (1:01:03) Well, this was also written in the Old Testament wasn’t right before Jesus was made up (1:01:09) Oh, sorry. I’m born of a virgin born. Yes born (1:01:13) My apologies died 33 years later (1:01:16) Some dude dipped him a water said he was gonna be John the Baptist his cousin.I (1:01:22) Think he did something to him. He baptized him (1:01:25) In the river in the middle of the night (1:01:31) I’d go walking in my (1:01:32) Walking in must do the valley of song through the river of dreams (1:01:38) in the middle of the night walking in (1:01:42) Okay (1:01:47) Wow (1:01:54) That was the internet so that was amazing which ones do I have to fucking write down all eight of them, bro (1:02:01) Some included so I don’t actually add those. So I hope I don’t get in trouble.I hope we don’t get docs later (1:02:05) Oh, that was amazing making a million dollars (1:02:08) I’m (1:02:11) Moving on (1:02:12) Numero seis the Sixth Commandment (1:02:16) My dude the one I actually think one that matters really thou shalt not kill (1:02:25) Yeah funny don’t do that Moses murdered somebody after that but he murdered him he didn’t kill him (1:02:30) It’s very and there’s a weird distinction between the two in the middle of the night you asshole (1:02:35) Who did he murder death kill I don’t did he put a 1 8 7 and someone’s I mean it up Oh murder death kill 1 8 7 (1:02:44) Taco (1:02:47) Taco Bell and stuff and Sarah Sandra Bernhardt and her, you know, Sandra Bullock Bullock in her, you know (1:02:56) That was terrible it was awful I’m gonna tell the boys I’m from Philly too (1:03:01) Adrian I did read yesterday that murder is allowed in a time of war (1:03:11) Which I in the Bible and I have a huge problem with that (1:03:18) Because that’s I I assume that’s how (1:03:22) Christianity justified their Crusades and I think that’s I they called it a holy war and I think that’s horrible (1:03:31) I mean too many people died (1:03:34) That’s just ridiculous (1:03:36) It is it’s in the Commandments man. Doubt shall not kill period. There’s an army of God’s dudes (1:03:44) Period like there’s no there’s nothing after thou shalt not kill. It’s that shall not kill (1:03:50) It’s four words, but later on in the Bible (1:03:53) It says it’s it’s okay if it’s if it’s war if it’s war testament or Old Testament (1:03:59) Old Testament like in the chapter the book. I can’t pronounce (1:04:04) Deuteronomy and the reason it said that and that’s the funny thing. I think that’s where the distinction comes in (1:04:10) I’ve I’ve spoken with people who have broken this down and said that’s why it says thou shalt not kill (1:04:16) It was actually specifically written (1:04:19) There are some pundits who say it’s specifically written by Moses to say kill because murder is (1:04:27) Allowed and murder happens during war not killing it’s a (1:04:33) Different it’s like a different.I’m I’m just saying and the thing is Moses didn’t murder someone in Egypt (1:04:40) So if he said yeah, he came down with a commandment that said thou shalt not kill or thou shalt not murder (1:04:46) It’d be different. Yeah, he would already be guilty of that read. Yes retrospect.I did read that. He did kill somebody (1:04:51) Yes, so and it was he he he killed somebody who beat a Jew. He ran.Yes. He was beating a Hebrew (1:04:57) Yes, and then he ran away and then married his wife Zephora (1:05:02) Zephora is where you buy perfume right Sephora. Oh, I think but yeah Moses killed somebody a (1:05:09) Person just looked it up.Yeah, he killed an Egyptian one day after Moses reduced reached adulthood (1:05:14) He killed an Egyptian who was beating a Hebrew Moses in order to escape the Pharaoh’s death penalty fled to Midian a desert (1:05:21) country south of Judah where he met (1:05:24) Zipporah see Zipporah ZIPP Zippo like the lighter RA RA H. Okay, that’s Zephora Zipporah (1:05:34) Same thing. Yeah, Zippo lighters rah (1:05:37) Zippo, yeah (1:05:39) And I think that’s another tick mark and like why did it say thou shalt not kill? (1:05:47) Because murder is a different animal (1:05:50) So it it absolves them of doing it (1:05:55) To your point during wartime, I think that’s how they (1:05:58) Separated the two no, okay. Go go.No, just no (1:06:05) No, well, no on your thought. No, okay murder and (1:06:09) Kill to me is the same thing. You’re taking a human life (1:06:13) You’re not I mean, it’s not like you’re you’re taking a bunny rabbits life (1:06:18) So you can make rabbits do if you’re taking a human life. You’re taking a human life. Ah (1:06:23) No (1:06:25) No, I agree with you (1:06:29) I see it like that dude that they made a movie of it just a few years ago (1:06:33) And it was the true story of the gentleman in World War two (1:06:35) That was a pacifist and he would he would not he would not carry a weapon. It’s a really good movie (1:06:42) And he saved like (1:06:44) 97 Marines in Iwo Jima like he kept (1:06:47) Dragging them off the battlefield and he got (1:06:49) Congressional Medal of Honor and oh, you know (1:06:51) all the the dude was he was up there for he didn’t sleep for two days and he was just like (1:06:56) He was the medic of medics in the Marine Corps World War two a great movie (1:07:01) Yeah, but he was a pacifist. He volunteered for the he volunteered for the Marine Corps World War two 1944 and (1:07:09) Medics didn’t carry he said I will he will they had in training like in in basic training (1:07:13) he would not hold the weapon and they’re like (1:07:17) The they gave him a gun he’s like no and he wouldn’t take it and that was that was half the movie right there (1:07:22) then the second half he gets deployed and you know, there’s total carnage just (1:07:25) Iwo Jima was just (1:07:28) Horrible. I mean most the Pacific theater was well, not that the European theater was good underrated underrated in its carnage (1:07:35) I mean it was bad. I mean the Japanese Japanese do not surrender and they were so dug in and you the I mean from (1:07:41) everything that I’ve read over the years (1:07:44) The Americans and the Australians and New Zealand’s that were there (1:07:48) Couldn’t you couldn’t even see the Japanese you they were just buried in the hills and there’s a machine gun (1:07:53) You didn’t even know was there and then half your dudes are dead and they never surrendered (1:07:57) They did not they that’s hence the term kamikaze. There’s the kamikaze thing (1:08:01) They just did not give up and what was the one they had somebody as late as 1970 something (1:08:05) What somebody on an island that thought World War two is still going on? (1:08:09) What do you remember that story that’s a whole other tangent I’m not gonna go there but side tangent on (1:08:16) that part with war (1:08:22) Yeah, like (1:08:24) Well medics. Oh, yeah. Look at Muhammad Ali.He refuses to fight Hacksaw Ridge (1:08:31) Hacksaw Ridge. Okay, right. I have to watch that.I’m aware of it. It was good. Muhammad Ali refused to fight in Vietnam (1:08:39) He’s drafted.Oh (1:08:41) And he lost why my dad didn’t like him. He was stripped of his belt (1:08:45) for three years in his prime 20 (1:08:47) 25 to 28 26 to 29 something like this. So he was drafted (1:08:52) He was he refused to fight (1:08:56) He was drafted and he refused to fight and they probably would have done the same thing with Elvis (1:09:01) They probably would have done or as Elvis like he probably would have done boxing like, you know shows (1:09:05) Right, he probably wasn’t gonna be tight (1:09:08) I would think he would be part of that a lot more just like Elvis in my right Elvis did a lot of (1:09:13) Music stuff right didn’t mean there were in the war.Didn’t he sing a lot or I don’t know (1:09:17) I mean, I was before he took off I guess here. So was that Elvis was also drafted. I (1:09:23) Think I think Elvis was drafted the most volunteered, but I think he was drafted (1:09:27) But I I think I don’t let’s not worry about Elvis anyway, but Ali refused to fight and lost a lot (1:09:35) From his commit his commitment to be a pacifist.Yeah, and he (1:09:39) Fought to get it all back. Is that when he changed his name? Mm-hmm. Yeah, he joined (1:09:43) he he would be he was a pacifist Muhammad Ali was a very spectacular individual in my opinion and (1:09:49) you all you heard was his mouth and (1:09:52) He was he was and he seemed enlightened. He seemed to have a (1:09:57) And he’s Muslim. I mean he was he practices Islamic faith, right? (1:10:01) As you change the name, yeah, and he (1:10:04) He has this Dave Chappelle is Muslim Islamic since he was 19 or 17 or something (1:10:10) I had no idea but the the view of it is such it is a very peaceful (1:10:17) It’s a real is any kind of like outlook when you hit that (1:10:20) We hit the stride, you know, I mean like when it when it like when you hit the sweet spot of it not the (1:10:26) You know death to the infidels part just the regular stuff it’s pretty mean everything in the middle (1:10:31) Yeah, like the yeah this stuff not on the edges, right? (1:10:35) Yeah, pretty much like it’s good. It really is a really cool.Yeah awesome thing. So I do admire it (1:10:41) That’s why we talked about it. So (1:10:43) We’re at (1:10:45) No killing six.No, this is this is what I think I veto that (1:10:50) Do I do I have veto power on this? (1:10:54) The 10 command already told the first five so you did oh, yeah (1:10:58) Well, you definitely five I vote of I veto five and six for sure. I’ll do one through four (1:11:04) We’re good, man. This is not going well now, but (1:11:07) We kind of agree. No, it’s not it’s not an agreement thing per se (1:11:11) But like it makes sense to me is this Moses just gets these people out of Egypt or they’re still actually in Egypt (1:11:17) He’s getting them out, but he’s trying to get them to stay civil. They’re not enslaved anymore, right? (1:11:21) What a better way to be like God told me not to kill you guys for you guys to kill each other (1:11:26) Stop killing each other motherfuckers. Stop. That’s exactly what he said. We’re gonna fucking start planting shit (1:11:32) We’re not gonna be nomads anymore. We’re gonna find a fucking place once we do that (1:11:35) We don’t need to kill each other anymore for shit.We don’t okay. Does that make sense? (1:11:39) Yeah, so I’ll just say God told him to tell you God told me to tell you don’t stop killing like once again (1:11:45) But that one make I’m totally good with that one. Come here.I have one commandment so far (1:11:49) Six of the six. Yeah, I can’t the other ones just do not resonate man. It’s just my apologies (1:11:57) No, you don’t got to apologize for your opinion, dude (1:12:00) Number seven.Yeah, you’re gonna take it from here. Sir. Thou shalt not commit adultery (1:12:06) Why am I taking it from here? I don’t know cuz I’ve talked cuz I’m an adulterer.No (1:12:12) No, nice. I’ve talked too much that wasn’t about that (1:12:15) The tenth point seventh commandment thou shalt not talk too much (1:12:21) Twelve thou shalt shut the fuck up (1:12:23) Shut the fuck uppest nowest (1:12:26) Doubt shall not commit adultery. Okay back to you Frank (1:12:30) Yeah thoughts on that one.Don’t sleep with your neighbor’s wife. Don’t sleep with your neighbor’s husband like be faithful to your spouse (1:12:39) Tada, I found this one interesting. Of course you did because that’s a control system, sir (1:12:44) well (1:12:46) Thou shalt not commit adultery, you know, notice how it doesn’t say thou shalt not fornicate (1:12:53) Fornicate just means fucking it does adultery means specifically with a married individual it does (1:13:01) Why was virginity such a coveted thing until marriage if (1:13:08) It’s only a commandment thou shalt not commit adultery not thou shalt not fornicate (1:13:15) Well, it’s specifically saying don’t have sex outside of marriage (1:13:19) no adultery is not sex outside of marriage adultery is sex between a person and (1:13:25) Their non spouse.Yeah (1:13:28) Right, but that’s a specific sex outside of marriage. You know that (1:13:33) No, two people who are unmarried are having sex outside of marriage. Also.Oh, do you see what I’m saying? (1:13:39) Yes, okay (1:13:40) But that’s my point. Is that what that did they translate sex outside of marriage to mean even people who aren’t married? (1:13:47) See what I’m saying? Yeah (1:13:49) Fucking around. Yeah, it’d be a whore and a slut and a mimbo and a bamboo and a Rambo and a mambo mambo number five (1:13:56) You can be all those things.Do you understand? (1:14:01) I do do you see how the different what I’m saying wording is shitty. Well, no adultery is specifically a person (1:14:07) Who’s married who’s married being with someone who’s not their spouse, correct? I get it. That’s all that says (1:14:15) Yeah, how the heck did it become? (1:14:17) Don’t have sex before marriage.Yes. Yes. I think that’s a New Testament thing.I think that’s I don’t even think it’s a New Testament (1:14:24) Thing I think that that’s something that the Catholic Church devised (1:14:28) Just the Catholic Church. Well, wait for it the Catholic Church devised. I have to look it up.I’m not sure we’re asking opinion (1:14:36) Not certain once again, we’re not theologians. I am. Well, you’re an awesome man.I (1:14:42) Think it happened after (1:14:45) And and you know a man made it up. So, you know how you should wait till you’re married to have sex (1:14:52) You’re dumb. So I (1:14:55) Think that was written way way way after Christ (1:14:59) so 80 (1:15:03) So, I don’t think it has anything to do with the Bible (1:15:05) I I don’t know why that I guess they wanted people to not have kids on a wedlock or not have kids outside of (1:15:12) The the faith and then of course, you know Catholicism was the main (1:15:18) Christianity (1:15:19) Jesus sounded right and then it just broke off like crazy after that, you know (1:15:23) You know the Church of England and done it.It just went Lutherans. It just went crazy, right? (1:15:28) So but the original Catholic was the original (1:15:34) Christian religion, you know, it was the one that Jesus founded. Oh, correct. That’s what they’re stated to here (1:15:40) He’s the one and like Mormons. They don’t they don’t there’s no sex before marriage, right? (1:15:46) in a vaginal sex (1:15:49) true (1:15:50) It never speaks of anything else. I don’t think I think they have loopholes if you know what I mean (1:15:59) I (1:15:59) Have no idea what you’re talking about, bro (1:16:02) So (1:16:03) Interesting adultery makes sense.Don’t don’t do that (1:16:06) I’m just curious how that got expounded to cuz like the whole thing was my dad. I remember my dad (1:16:11) You can’t come in. I’m like, it’s not adultery dad.I’m not breaking the commandment (1:16:15) I have to be someone out of wedlock is not is not wrong in the Ten Commandments (1:16:20) It is not against the commandment because it’s about adultery not about fornication (1:16:25) But if you sleep with a married woman, is that adultery? Yes, because that is adultery (1:16:31) Okay. Well, actually is that adultery on her or on you because you’re 100% on the married individual (1:16:39) Yes, however (1:16:41) There are opposing schools of thought about the other side what if you have a threesome with the Beckham’s I (1:16:52) Couldn’t get my hands off David (1:16:58) Ah Posh Spice get out of here Posh leave me and David alone make me a sandwich (1:17:05) And it’s not (1:17:06) Not because of that just broadcasting live from David’s treehouse. It’s date.Um, excuse me posh (1:17:12) Look, I know you just took off that beautiful night and nighty. I’m just gonna wash it on David’s stomach (1:17:18) Okay, I’m just gonna rinse it on his washboard. Okay, just so if you had a threesome with the Beckham’s (1:17:25) Dude if I wouldn’t make it three steps without just well, that’s not the question (1:17:29) I know it’s not your your ED issue is not about am I I’m on camera.Yeah. Hello to a Victorian David (1:17:36) Yeah, I I bet do you think Meg Z let me put that make that my it has to be both of them (1:17:42) Has to be a menage devil’s three-way, obviously, which David would never go for. How do you know cuz it’s me, bro (1:17:50) I’m an alpha.I’ll take over. No, just kidding (1:17:53) No, but (1:17:58) David take me he kicks mark. Yes, I pitch I mean (1:18:03) No, but I think Meg Z would allow that to be on you know, the the top five list (1:18:06) Yeah, the ones that you’re allowed.Yeah, like it has to be David and Victoria though like as a I understand. I (1:18:14) Probably have a better shot with just David (1:18:17) No (1:18:18) You have a better shot with pot spice they’re both gorgeous they work out they they’re gorgeous (1:18:25) Individuals and just I hope that I hope they hear this (1:18:28) Hi (1:18:31) So adultery now the school of thought is (1:18:36) Wow, that was a weirdest hand. I know I asked you questions.I’m the best interviewer (1:18:40) Is it adultery if you sleep with both of the Beckham’s? (1:18:45) It’s a way to fucking get bless me father my I have sinned my last confession was 12 years ago (1:18:49) My son tell me your sins. I fucked both the Beckham’s. I’m sorry. What can you please slow down? (1:18:55) my son (1:18:55) Slow down start from the beginning. Please. Tell me the whole story (1:19:00) The whole story don’t mind the rustling of my room (1:19:05) That’s gonna be the best confessional that dudes ever that dudes like (1:19:10) Like what was David wearing? Oh, really? Oh, what was Victoria? Oh my god.I need the deets (1:19:17) Oh, did he bend it? Oh, oh it was bent. It was already bad man. It was bent like Beckham.Yeah (1:19:24) Wow, that’s fucking beautiful. Oh, sorry. No, that was that’s the funniest thing.Um, so closing on that (1:19:32) the school of thought is (1:19:34) In my opinion, I think Meg Z would say if you knowing if you know that that person’s married and you’re not it’s not your (1:19:42) Spouse whatever that you’re also would be an adulterer like if if you and I don’t disagree with that point of view (1:19:48) Let’s say okay (1:19:49) So I’m single and I and some a woman hits on me and I see she has a ring on and I sleep with her (1:19:55) Anyway, right you you know, she’s Meg Z’s book. I’m guilty of it as well, correct (1:20:01) Okay, and and I don’t have an issue with that because that’s a good point of view in my opinion I’m not the one (1:20:08) I’m not the one married to the person. You’re not the one damaging the marriage.I’m not the one who made the commitment (1:20:13) So it’s not on me (1:20:16) To care I understand that is my opinion. I don’t you’re saying it’s probably wrong and I that’s my opinion (1:20:22) Although it’s wrong. I’m happy to admit that it could be a very it’s a very skewed way of looking at the world (1:20:28) However, if I’m when I’m committed Meg Z and I are together I (1:20:34) I’m committed. All right, you should be committed. Yeah, I should be because I’m crazy like that. But (1:20:40) the point is (1:20:42) I (1:20:44) Make that choice.I’m with her. I’ve chosen her (1:20:49) But has she chosen you? I don’t know. This is so confusing still up in here. He’s terrible. She’s great (1:20:54) But but yeah, the point is like I’m not if she were married something’s like I’m not married to your husband (1:20:59) You are that’s on you if I were single or something. Yes, I understand (1:21:04) Number eight number seven no adultery, but fornicate all you want motherfuckers. That’s what I says (1:21:11) That’s what I said. I’m sorry. It’s number seven. That’s what it says. It says it right there’s you know ready for number eight (1:21:16) Yeah, yeah, go go put on you over there (1:21:20) Thou shalt not steal (1:21:23) Back to you Jim, you could melt all this stuff (1:21:31) Don’t take stuff. How about that? Oh, wow.We need to write that down. Yeah, once again, don’t take stuff. That’s not yours (1:21:37) Don’t kill (1:21:39) Don’t fuck your neighbor’s wife.Obviously, or don’t fuck anyone’s wife or husband, obviously and (1:21:45) Don’t steal unless it’s David. Okay (1:21:48) six seven and eight (1:21:50) those three (1:21:52) They’re great (1:21:53) Commandment we don’t do we approve those don’t commit adultery and don’t steal they make they make sense to me (1:21:59) It sounds like civilization, doesn’t it? It just sounds like hey, we are we’re all in this together (1:22:07) And if I were to do of us who’s I was gonna do high school musical make it if we try (1:22:11) I don’t know high school musical. So we’re all in this together (1:22:15) Yay, okay now put the camera on you sir.You that was amazing on me. Tell me about not stealing (1:22:21) Don’t take people’s stuff. I’m down (1:22:24) live and let live man, I’m (1:22:27) Down other Beatles songs too or no, that’s not that’s not sorry live and let die.Sorry. I was way off (1:22:33) Yeah, don’t take people’s stuff. That’s wings. Not not Beatles. Oh, really? Sorry. So, uh, (1:22:38) to summarize (1:22:40) Don’t be a dick.Yeah, no stealing. Yeah seems pretty obvious, right easy. Okay, number nine (1:22:45) Yeah, thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor (1:22:53) Interesting.I don’t know what that means dude. Just don’t lie. Oh, okay.Don’t lie false witness like oh, yeah (1:22:58) Yeah, false witness like blah blah blah. I saw blah blah blah with blah blah blah. They committed adultery (1:23:02) I saw a liar stealing stuff and screwing other people’s wives.Yeah, and then he killed somebody (1:23:07) So ones thou shalt not commit adultery thou shalt not lie about someone else committing adultery or stealing or murdering or killing (1:23:13) Yeah, or killing or saying god’s damn it. Why how did neighbor come into this all of a sudden? (1:23:19) Because why is it thou shalt not kill thy neighbor? Mr. Robbins, you’re not gonna commit adultery with a neighbor (1:23:24) What what why I’m curious (1:23:26) What why the verbiage why choose thy neighbor in this one case go? (1:23:33) Thou shalt not bear a false witness against thy neighbor. I don’t know dude (1:23:40) It’s easier than saying your fellow man, I (1:23:43) Don’t know is your neighbor literally your neighbor or is it your community person or is it your tribal me, right? (1:23:51) Like dad, that’s not defined right? It’s ambiguous enough (1:23:56) To work around.Yeah. So well my neighbors this guy next to me. You’re two doors down.I can fucking lie about you (1:24:04) Cuz so basically we’re right what you’re saying is this is open to interpretation in my opinion (1:24:09) It would be it might be though that neighbor back in the day just meant the entire community or the tribe (1:24:14) Because you and also back in the day, you probably only knew a very small amount of people (1:24:19) Oh, yeah, whoever Moses was with did most people how many people did he lead? I don’t know thousand (1:24:24) It was a couple thousand sure and did most people even I mean once this this information got out (1:24:30) Did most people even live in cities or did most people live in the countryside and there was only 30 of them and they had (1:24:35) Sheep and stuff so right. Well, they were still in Egypt (1:24:38) So I don’t think they had gotten to where they were going yet (1:24:40) I think right some kind of civilization to start and that’s why I think these things were written just in the right time (1:24:45) Right as things were about to go fucking bat shit crazy in the nick of time, bro (1:24:49) Right these control these things that tell you how to act these civilization ideas (1:24:54) Yeah, it just happened to be written told to Moses from God right when they needed it most (1:25:01) Cuz they were gonna go back (1:25:05) My neighbor (1:25:09) What are you doing, what do you mean how many Israelites and whatnot but the chosen a lot of people (1:25:15) So yeah, we’re good with that one, right don’t live now and that’s the thing is like so neighbor (1:25:20) It’s like oh, well, I can lie about the Egyptians because they’re not my neighbor only my people with Moses or my neighbor (1:25:27) Like oh that that Egyptian did something wrong, you know, like (1:25:31) What are your thoughts on something like once again? I think it’s the word is open up to interpretation, right? (1:25:36) so that could be (1:25:38) Anybody that’s not the in the year 1350 when these were handed down approximately BC BCE before Christ (1:25:48) Before common era, whatever. I don’t know (1:25:51) was (1:25:53) Could you use that word and interpret it differently? Is it is the neighbor somebody that’s not my skin color? (1:26:00) Somebody that doesn’t worship the same God that I do (1:26:02) Is it somebody that like you said an Egyptian or did it was there were there Romans? (1:26:09) Which there were in Egypt, so I don’t know what year they got there (1:26:12) But you you know other people that they encountered across in their in their journey. So do (1:26:19) that (1:26:20) Does that apply to those people that they don’t know? I? (1:26:24) Don’t know man. That’s you that’s up to interpretation. Everybody can have a different answer for that, right? (1:26:29) And once again (1:26:30) that’s that is why I came to you with this because you should stop that you have a different way of viewing it things and (1:26:35) Like I said, like what thy neighbor means to you might not be what thy neighbor means to me to me (1:26:40) It means every single human being that I encounter. That’s how I see it. It’s just be a good person all the time (1:26:47) I mean (1:26:49) regardless of all that stuff like I don’t care that (1:26:52) You’re a you worship this God or you worship that God or you’re tall or you’re that color? (1:26:56) I don’t give a shit. Just be a good person.I don’t believe it’s what they meant though (1:27:00) That’s what I’m trying to get at because I’m right. I believe they meant their tribe because not next-door neighbor (1:27:06) We’re talking their group of the Israelites walking to the desert (1:27:11) Specifically specifically those under Moses’s leadership be nice to the people walking to the desert, correct? (1:27:16) Don’t you know, we’re like I said, we’re all fighting the good fight together. Let’s not fight good fight (1:27:21) each other alive (1:27:24) Because in the (1:27:26) Allegedly God had commanded people to rape and murder in the Testament. There was raping. I didn’t know that (1:27:33) We’re gonna take women as slaves. I mean, oh, that doesn’t mean right? (1:27:36) Yeah, you take them as you take the wives and you take I thought well, okay, certainly slave and murder (1:27:44) Slavery murder. That’s correct. I was still raping there because it seems like a very that’s the Viking thing, bro (1:27:48) It’s what all fucking animals do it’s sad, huh? And we’re animals. Sorry, it’s truth (1:27:53) I’m boy.Yes. I mean it does happen and it has happened and it is terrible regardless awful. Yeah, so (1:27:59) No lying. That makes sense. Once again (1:28:03) Six seven eight nine sound really good to me. Don’t lie, bro. This is where it gets tricky. We get on ten (1:28:08) Oh, I’m sorry. We’re on the 10th.We’re on the 10th one. Isn’t that crazy? Oh, it’s perfect. No, we’re doing great (1:28:14) Just get out of the city you and I (1:28:16) Sex in the city.I got you, babe (1:28:26) It’s cold outside (1:28:30) Number ten, yeah now shouting and this is where you and I talked prior to the show and I want to hear yes (1:28:35) You’re this or you’re gonna expound about what you mean what it means to you (1:28:38) Okay, what you were told it meant and all this good stuff because this one’s really important to me (1:28:41) Yeah, cuz I think this is where it gets back to BS. Well (1:28:44) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods and go (1:28:51) So that’s where I say you should I thought it was you should not take other people’s stuff (1:28:58) but that’s thou shalt not steal and (1:29:02) Then check mark at said, what is the word covet mean? (1:29:06) I don’t know (1:29:12) So is it is thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods, is that an act of (1:29:21) Taking something of theirs or is it thinking about taking something of theirs? (1:29:27) I (1:29:29) Don’t know. I (1:29:31) Got you, babe (1:29:33) And that’s where I went sir, cuz I looked up the dictionary definition of covet then he asked me (1:29:39) He says you’ve been you used to go to confession one, two eight times a week (1:29:44) What did you see my spreadsheet? (1:29:45) But do you see my confession schedule check mark from seventh grade because you’re a Virgo you definitely had a confession schedule (1:29:51) Don’t you I went don’t you lie? Uh, I went as few times as possible, bro (1:29:56) Can I just tell you really second grade my first session? (1:30:00) Every time because you had to go it was respecting for you.So I thought you know, I went (1:30:05) It’s a little I went only when it was mandatory (1:30:08) I hated that shit because like when you’re like I went when I was the first time I was (1:30:13) seven or eight wearing my little tie and shit and (1:30:17) What did I do? I stole a piece of gum. Like what do you you got to make up shit? (1:30:22) You know, you’re seven dude, like oh (1:30:24) My nose and (1:30:26) Like, you know, I mean like what kind of bullshit is this I got your I’m an innocent little child, dude (1:30:32) I took Bobby’s Lego. I didn’t even do that (1:30:35) You know, I didn’t I (1:30:40) Said Legos instead of Lego check mark lost fucking mind see he’s losing his mind (1:30:57) Don’t you be my neighbor so I don’t mark losses mine you motherfuckers, you know, you know say no more is these Legos (1:31:04) Lego check mark so sexy Lego of (1:31:08) Ego Lego Lego no more no more plural. No less. No Legos (1:31:13) Leggo both like Lego my Lego how hard it make it easy, you know even think about (1:31:20) Dear dear how hard what used you moron dear check mark? (1:31:26) Shut the hell up (1:31:30) Dear and headlights check mark dear a doe (1:31:38) So covet, I don’t know man you tell me I’m not sure well, how was the thing? (1:31:45) I was taught the same thing you did don’t take or don’t (1:31:48) Don’t take it basically and I’m like (1:31:51) Hello question question check mark in the front row (1:31:54) There’s already that’s already covered like two ago three ago under thou shalt not steal (1:32:00) Did you bear Google the word covet? Is it actually a date? Does it actually state? (1:32:05) The the process of thinking about doing it or is it yearn to possess or have? (1:32:12) They yearn to possess or have so it’s not even doing it’s yearning. It’s a desire deep desire (1:32:19) Similar desire crave have one’s heart set on because I thought one of the commandments was doubt shall not covet the neighbors wife (1:32:26) It is they (1:32:28) Excuse me ten covers wife neighbors goods blah blah blah. It’s a it’s later verses that they cobble it together (1:32:36) Cobble, but the actual commandment is thou shalt not covered (1:32:40) They neighbors good that neighbors goods, but it was also wife and baba, but that’s already adultery (1:32:45) You’re already you’re already covered under adultery. Yeah, that’s why I (1:32:48) Question that that’s why I brought it up. That’s why it’s even more important (1:32:52) Stealing and adultery already covered therefore in my opinion (1:32:57) they’re basically telling you can’t even have desires and (1:33:01) That is where I draw the fucking don’t tell me what I can want (1:33:07) It’s what I do with it, but don’t tell me what I can want and not want (1:33:11) So if you lived in 1350 and Moses came down with this thing (1:33:15) You’d be like look bro.I’m a libertarian, and you fucking can’t tell me what the fuck do so you can fuck off with this (1:33:22) I’ll take three. I’ll take three of the ten the rest of them. You got a script you get a sharpie that shit out, bro (1:33:27) No, you just know (1:33:32) Here’s a chisel, bro, yeah (1:33:35) I probably would have followed him (1:33:37) Because they had a fucking 50 bro, what do I I’m not me back if I went back in time (1:33:42) Yeah, I would have let a fucking revolt against that fucking bullshit (1:33:46) Against Moses or the Egyptians I would yes against Moses.I mean like oh you can talk to him visible fucking thing, okay great (1:33:52) You fucking Bush caught on fire great fucking show him. You know you’re not talking you know no no (1:33:58) Let’s leave. Let’s leave the right way look don’t kill don’t steal these things are smart people (1:34:03) We don’t need to be we don’t need God to tell us to not do this like let’s be honest (1:34:07) We can we can work through this (1:34:10) Yeah, and that yeah, no I I get it, and I think that leads to my point of (1:34:16) Where I’ve read a couple articles, and I’ve seen a couple Joe Rogan videos and stuff about people stating that you need (1:34:24) one guy was very adamant that (1:34:29) You a human being must have (1:34:35) Judeo-christian beliefs to lead a good life to lead a wholesome life and I like (1:34:44) No, because I don’t I don’t have any faith, and I’m I told somebody a couple days ago (1:34:50) I got to be the nicest atheist in the world (1:34:51) I’m just consider of other people and he’s like you are the nicest atheist (1:34:55) I’ve ever met so because I’m hey what you know I’m always like a lot of atheists are nice (1:35:01) Well (1:35:05) Oh you don’t have Jesus in your life, you don’t have Allah in your life, you don’t have (1:35:11) Yahweh in your life, whatever so therefore you’re missing something and therefore (1:35:16) Ipto facto whatever that shit’s called if so if so both of them both vote for them therefore (1:35:23) You don’t you’re not a nice person because you’re missing these things and I’m like what that’s complete.Oh shit (1:35:31) so I I need I need a (1:35:33) Book written 2,000 years ago and a couple of tablets that were written by quote-unquote the finger of God according to my readings (1:35:40) To tell me how to be a good person (1:35:43) No (1:35:45) No I can I’m pretty doing okay, and I mean I’m not perfect and people beg to differ and that’s cool (1:35:52) But I think you can lead a very good life as a very good person without any religion (1:35:59) Yeah, but a lot of people disagree with that statement, right? (1:36:04) We have other thoughts about that I don’t want to go down that oh, sorry (1:36:07) We can know we can have that conversation because it’s true, but a lot of people associated church with community (1:36:13) They were all everybody in the local area went to the same church (1:36:17) So they all hung out like it was a very it was a good Center for things for community (1:36:22) It was a really good foundation for community (1:36:23) I get it, but it doesn’t mean it has to be for you to still have community (1:36:27) But do I have to have the Ten Commandments right? That’s the point to (1:36:32) Show me how to be a good person don’t need you don’t need God to create the community (1:36:37) You can create a community without God being the one telling you to hang out (1:36:43) It’s like my parents telling me. I must hang out with my brother. Yeah, that’s not cool, man (1:36:48) I don’t really like that, and I don’t mean that just specifically with my brother’s purse.I know in general. I understand you’re saying yeah (1:36:55) It’s just odd anyway, so basically what it says is don’t think about (1:37:03) Taking don’t yearn after your neighbor’s stuff. Yeah that includes his wife (1:37:08) I think they include his wife, and they kind of like I said they they throw that in (1:37:12) Under but it makes sense though because it’s like adultery, but it’s like don’t even think about it and (1:37:18) Fuck that fuck night (1:37:20) I’m sorry this is in 1984 my friends well (1:37:24) You know thought crime is not a thing like do not how dare you? (1:37:29) How dare you? (1:37:31) Commit me of something bad with thought (1:37:35) Because we all have thoughts (1:37:37) Yeah (1:37:37) And some are really fucking dark and they happen before you even realize like boom there it is you know there (1:37:43) They actually happen like seven seconds before you realize they happen up (1:37:47) No, I wasn’t aware of the delay there (1:37:49) There are actually really interesting thought studies that tell you they can they can tell you what your decision is gonna be on something (1:37:55) Seven seconds before you know what they read seconds number.I have to show you that maybe we need to (1:38:05) Where’s your fucking Sharpie bitch, bro? Yeah, no pat up in there. I’m gonna pull up a little so documentation (1:38:12) What’s this one? I don’t know (1:38:14) Yeah (1:38:14) thought police oh (1:38:17) the (1:38:18) EEG of seven-second decision-making (1:38:20) The seven-second delay of decision-making yeah brain stuff. Yeah, yeah (1:38:26) Okay, go and talk more about this covening.I guess because under that lens tell me how necessary this is it’s not (1:38:33) But you could you can’t stop somebody from thinking something right? It’s just is that person moral and ethical enough to not (1:38:41) Make a bad decision to do the right thing right so they’re telling them not to have impure thoughts (1:38:49) That’s not possible. I mean you can try as best you can (1:38:53) but a human being is still an animal at a core based level with survival instincts, right, so (1:39:03) That shit’s gonna happen and then you need to go to confession (1:39:06) You know in the Catholic belief system, yeah, I have to go to confession and tell them all my impure thoughts (1:39:12) Yeah, I coveted my neighbor’s new motorcycle. Yeah.Oh, yeah, and yeah, I won’t hold on. Hold on (1:39:18) Let’s stop there. I wanted it really badly wanted it.I know I’m sorry, sir. I yearned (1:39:24) Yeah, I wanted to keep up with the Joneses and I wanted it and I worked harder and then I bought one like (1:39:31) What so they’re suppressing capitalism? (1:39:34) But smurf I hear (1:39:36) I yearned after his boat (1:39:39) Father, I I’m sorry father 12 home. Yeah, please. Please forgive me father for I’ve sinned (1:39:46) I desired his Corvette that he pulled up in it’s so nice-looking (1:39:51) What okay that you’re gonna get me for that for a desire. No, if it’s not acted upon (1:39:58) It’s it is not a thing (1:40:02) It can’t it can’t be like (1:40:05) How many times is something I could kill that guy? I mean they say it it’s a word (1:40:08) It’s just a word right? No one’s ever actually, I mean somebody’s killed to me, but I mean like (1:40:14) I’m sure you said I could kill that guy in your head at some point. Oh, yeah (1:40:17) Yeah, it’s no big do it.Yeah, you’re it’s if not literal. Yes, right (1:40:22) So this is basically thought police (1:40:25) Yeah, once again control like this is this just looks like a template other than those four in the middle (1:40:32) in my opinion just looks like (1:40:35) Hey, there’s only me (1:40:38) Nobody else (1:40:40) Don’t talk shit about me make think about me a full day a week (1:40:46) Honor your parents who honor me based. That’s how I interpret that (1:40:51) Okay, no killing. No adultery. No stealing and no lying. Those are fucking great. We need four. I (1:40:57) don’t necessarily agree with you that the first four are a (1:41:02) Control system. I (1:41:04) See your point.I don’t necessarily agree with that perspective (1:41:13) You know, and I don’t know I (1:41:17) Don’t know did Moses write these down. Did God tell Moses did was Moses. Hi, you know, he could have found some (1:41:25) What peyote and frickin smoke that shit and been out of his fucking mind.We don’t know right? (1:41:30) Obviously the Bible says of the Bible says but what really happened we don’t know and we’re never gonna know (1:41:37) So are these truly? (1:41:40) the words of God that created the universe (1:41:44) Some people believe that yeah, right (1:41:46) But I don’t necessarily believe that the first three or four is a control system (1:41:50) you have a very good point and (1:41:52) I see why you would say that the way they’re worded and the way they’re grouped together and the way that things were going on (1:41:57) At that time and the issue with the golden calf (1:42:01) So I get it I (1:42:04) Don’t necessarily agree, but I get it. I (1:42:06) I’m grateful for that because I want it. I want I will I I admire different opinions (1:42:12) I do I do I mean we how many times have we said we’re always open to our minds changing (1:42:17) Oh, yeah, and when what when we make a decision we do make it (1:42:20) It’s like it’s this or it’s that and then you can change my mind, but it goes back to this (1:42:26) It doesn’t some usually go in the middle. It goes back to like, you know, I mean (1:42:30) Yeah, pretty just definitive people. I pretty much stick my foot in my mouth on a constant basis (1:42:36) But I do admire that (1:42:37) So what what are your thoughts on the four like the first four as a guess a counter to? (1:42:44) The the fifth my opinion on it. What’s your opinion about? (1:42:48) Just the general like feels of it.Like I know we didn’t we don’t know because we weren’t there, right? (1:42:53) Right, that’s my thing. Is that did God really speak to these right? I’m down in Congress. So (1:42:57) You know according to the Bible the cloud which represented God was over Mount Sinai and (1:43:03) The God’s voice came out of it and spoke to all the people there. Not just Moses. So that’s what the Bible says (1:43:09) Whether that’s true or not. I don’t know.I mean that very may have happened (1:43:14) I have a hard time believing that but it may have happened right? Right. So we may have had um, I don’t I don’t know (1:43:21) To answer your question. I don’t (1:43:24) the the first three (1:43:26) I’m not I don’t really know (1:43:29) you know when somebody’s worshiping a piece of gold a gold statue (1:43:36) That’s kind of weird, but we worship money in a strange way, right? (1:43:39) Well, that’s so we can idolize anything and that’s really what it is.It’s don’t have idols (1:43:44) I mean, like I said, it could be it could be a house or a car. Yeah, right like could be your job (1:43:49) but then I look around it says (1:43:52) We worship false idols, right and then you look at churches and they’re just (1:43:59) regardless of the of the of the denomination (1:44:02) the (1:44:03) Deuteronomy of the sex that they’re just cathedrals. They’re massive (1:44:11) massive (1:44:13) Structures built to honor God right? What whichever God is your God, right? (1:44:19) and (1:44:20) They’re adorned with stained-glass windows and gold and paintings and all these things (1:44:28) which (1:44:30) Kind of sounds contradictory to this (1:44:33) the golden dome thing (1:44:35) Really bothers me (1:44:37) What about touchdown Jesus? I love touchdown.Do you do? (1:44:41) No, I and I just I just feel like the golden dome thing is like (1:44:47) Why are you spending money on that? (1:44:50) but but then again (1:44:51) We do talk about (1:44:54) The beauty that the church brought and yes, they commissioned those pieces, right the gothic (1:44:59) Cathedrals and the construction of them everything. Yeah, beautiful (1:45:05) Yeah, I’m not I’m not right. No.No, I know and it but that’s like the weird dichotomy of it like (1:45:11) Gun to my head. I’m not really a religious person. I’m not a big fan of any church (1:45:17) Right, I’m not that’s we’ve ad nauseum discussed that yeah (1:45:23) yeah, I (1:45:25) Don’t know if those cathedrals wouldn’t have been built and we wouldn’t have been able to admire them (1:45:32) Yes, there wasn’t that if there wasn’t a religious system you’re right you’re absolutely correct (1:45:36) So like I and I and I know we talked about it that you know, Michelangelo’s date or the Sistine Chapel (1:45:43) Yeah, yeah, that was obviously commissioned.Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.Yeah, if he didn’t get paid he wouldn’t have done it for free (1:45:47) And he would have done it would not have been done. Correct. So like (1:45:51) the poetry I (1:45:53) Mean some of the literature in the by the way, it’s written is it is a beautiful thing (1:45:57) I oh, yeah, yeah way above my pay grade when it comes to like understand (1:46:01) I’m just saying like it’s it’s pretty impressive. But yeah to your point (1:46:06) So not a control system. They’re just things that are right there just makes sense to put in there. How many would you have? (1:46:13) All in all (1:46:25) For wait, hang on he’s counting ladies and gentlemen for okay (1:46:34) Which ones? Well, the first three would be combined (1:46:37) Okay (1:46:40) But see I feel like are they different things no, they’re all the same shit are they the same shit really it’s my opinion (1:46:46) Okay.Okay. They’re all I definitely see they’re all related to. Oh (1:46:50) There’s one God, okay, and you should be respectful of that God, yeah, and then that’s it got it (1:46:57) Yeah, one God nobody else no graven images, you know shit (1:47:01) Like I’m curious what graven? I mean, does it mean engraved? I’m assuming I don’t know (1:47:06) It sounds like a bad word like it’s a negative connotation thing in like grave like oh like going to your grave.Okay weird (1:47:14) Oh (1:47:15) Yeah, I’d have those three combined into one the I don’t care about keeping the holy set that Sabbath whatever (1:47:20) I mean, I do understand that the fourth commandment remember the Sabbath day to keep it. Holy (1:47:25) I understand that in the Bible when God created the universe, excuse me (1:47:29) The seventh day he rested so that’s why it’s there is to (1:47:33) Honor God because that’s God also rested on the seventh day. So I get it.I understand the (1:47:40) Logical nature behind it, you know, okay (1:47:44) But I’d rather watch golf and drink beer. So 1 2 & 3 is 1. Yes, then 4 is gone 4 is gone 5 is gone (1:47:51) 5 is gone (1:47:54) Thou shall not kill thou shall not commit adultery and thou shall not steal or left it. Okay, that’s 3 4 (1:48:00) No, what about lying? You know what? I’m just curious.I mean, that’s just fucking common sense, dude (1:48:06) It’s just like don’t be a dick same shit. Yeah, but if God says that it’s much more powerful than sure. Yeah (1:48:14) Well, I mean you would think hey God if God did speak to them or they thought they did that he that God did (1:48:20) He she it they them there.I don’t know what God is. I don’t mind you get a shovel for you, bro (1:48:26) I I don’t know what I don’t know what God is (1:48:30) None of us do it’s not human. I can tell you that that much of it is right thing. So, how would we pop it possibly? (1:48:37) You know anamorphize it or whatever. Yeah, maybe what’s a human thing? (1:48:41) Sure, you said (1:48:43) Personification. Yeah.Yeah. Yeah anyway (1:48:47) Yeah, so you okay. So you got one two, and three is one four five or gone six seven and eight you’re keeping (1:48:54) Yeah, so that’s four (1:48:56) All right, don’t worry about lying (1:48:59) It’s okay.I guess I could do four point five (1:49:02) Sub article seven paragraph D. You’re gonna hate the ones I’m gonna keep (1:49:06) Okay, I think I’m I keep five I keep five six seven five nine (1:49:11) Five six seven eight nine five six seven. Okay, and the reason I do the father-mother is because back then it was just such a (1:49:19) Had to be thing (1:49:21) It’s just that kept everybody together (1:49:24) It really I mean it really did start with family is as shitty as family is or was or could be (1:49:30) It always was you know, the guy who provided for you also beat you. Okay, the prop, you know, probably what happened (1:49:39) Yeah, you know, it’s uh, yeah, but it’s like you get if you’re trying to start a civilization or start trying to keep people together (1:49:46) You got to start with that (1:49:49) Connection a basic foundation.Yeah, and I just feel like that’s a good foundation (1:49:52) If I if I were to if God were to tell me them, that’s what he would have told me (1:49:57) You’d make a great Moses, dude. I have 15 10 5 (1:50:04) And I apologize because I was gonna bring my dog’s Pope outfit, it’s Halloween outfit and he’s got the Pope hat (1:50:10) Can you put on the insta? It looks super. I look awesome in it put on the oh you look (1:50:14) I was gonna wear the picture and add it to the insta.I’ll do that. I apologize (1:50:18) I was gonna bring it work today. I think you can do it on Twitter now (1:50:20) Can you do stories and bullshit at the top? (1:50:22) I you can they so like you might have to do double duty men because I’ve been working hard duty (1:50:28) Duty, so that’s been the 10.Oh, yeah (1:50:31) Like I said, I think five six seven and eight and nine are perfect (1:50:35) But like the first parts just don’t resonate with me at all (1:50:39) Back then they probably would have because obviously, you know, I’m a slave that just got that just found my freedom (1:50:46) I think I’ll go I’ll stick with the freedom. So whatever control has to be put on me for me to keep my freedom (1:50:52) How weird is that? Yeah (1:50:54) Weird is that you don’t even think about it that way. No, but it’s another but it’s true (1:50:57) It’s a different type of slavery it is a voluntary is a voluntary (1:51:02) Desire to work within a community versus being owned by someone like that’s totally cool.I’ll accept that. Yeah, right (1:51:08) I’ll accept that and that’s a beautiful thing because like community is great. I wish I felt more like that (1:51:14) I feel always like the outcast (1:51:17) That sounds familiar (1:51:19) Yeah, so anyway, so that’s been the Ten Commandments.Um, I (1:51:24) Looked at it very like straightforward without too much angst and whatnot because we (1:51:32) We just want to look at stuff and that’s why I brought you on. I’m glad you had a different viewpoint (1:51:36) Thank you so much for having that (1:51:38) May we have your Jerry Springer final thought moment deal eheimer-schmidt or yeah, I think yeah, darn it (1:51:45) I probably lost it. But basically I think I think it was this (1:51:49) This guy just brought all these people out.He needed to keep them together (1:51:53) This is his way if I could get God, you know if I can convince them that God speaks to only me and (1:52:02) That he’s the only one and I can buy they can buy that and I can buy that they don’t have any competitors (1:52:09) And I can if I can sell that they shouldn’t talk shit about him (1:52:14) If I can sell that they should at least honor him at least once a week by thinking about him all day (1:52:19) And if they can keep the familiar structure together (1:52:23) Giving the other ones in there. I think I can keep us all together on as a civilization (1:52:28) I don’t think it was ill intent per se but (1:52:31) Sometimes sometimes you do like we still live in a civilization. We give up certain freedoms (1:52:38) Because we do realize that some of our freedoms come at a cost (1:52:41) Like if I wanted to murder someone my pursuit of happiness killer murder (1:52:47) Kill I were to kill someone.Oh, you sure? Yeah (1:52:50) Yeah, I guess I don’t I don’t know if the gonna be very specific, dude (1:52:55) I don’t know what the definitions are. They mean they know more than we did or we do 13 1300 BC (1:53:00) They knew more than than I do right now (1:53:03) But if I were to kill and that made me happy my pursuit of happiness, it’s precluded by yeah (1:53:08) Taking away that person’s pursuit. It’s it’s very simple. It makes it so simple. It’s very libertarian of them (1:53:15) Yeah, it’s very simple is do not take away another’s (1:53:20) Pursuit of doing what they want to do. Yeah, or whatever. So definitely whatever (1:53:25) But I appreciate your time, sir (1:53:27) I know this is a this was a for me (1:53:30) This was fun because I liked I like kind of dissecting getting inside the mind of someone thirty three hundred years ago (1:53:36) translated (1:53:39) In (1:53:40) Allegedly one language sir. Is that what you were told? I was told it was trying to translate it once. Yeah (1:53:45) I don’t necessarily (1:53:47) believe that (1:53:49) Yeah, do we want to try to again get this gentleman with us? Yeah, absolutely.I would totally do it man (1:53:55) I’m gonna send this to him and I’m gonna and I’m wondering because you’re your point about (1:54:00) the first floor being a control system and the last one I (1:54:04) Wonder what his response to that would be (1:54:07) So I’m very very curious. Well, you disagree so I couldn’t imagine a level that he disagreed (1:54:14) Does that make sense? Yes, I’m not it’s not a bad thing. I definitely see your point (1:54:19) You know, I I could you at least give it a consideration.Oh, yeah, and I’m on the fence, right? (1:54:25) But you give it a consideration and I don’t feel like we would get that same but I perhaps we will I don’t I don’t (1:54:31) know I you I (1:54:33) Don’t know (1:54:36) It would be I would be very interested to see (1:54:40) That (1:54:41) Sorry, I suck at the video sometimes but I’m very curious to see your beautiful face (1:54:46) We’re gonna keep it on you. I would be very curious what everybody else thinks (1:54:50) You know what? It does check mark have a point about the the control systems (1:54:55) Oh, why are there ten commandments should there be less should there be more what it what what was missed? (1:55:01) you know, why is the I thought for sure covered the neighbors wife was in there and it’s not so (1:55:07) What happened? (1:55:09) Did they lose one so (1:55:12) Yes, it got lost in the desert. I went on wiki and it’s got like 14 or 15 (1:55:17) I’m like, how the fuck did this happen? What?
